The Fear of Solitude

Abandoned in this desolate room
No physical being in which to confide
My tormented mind irate and confused
In my cell of darkness I hide
The only light is that of my soul
It’s what keeps me barely alive
My fist clenched, my eyes soaked sore
Into my imagination I dive
Longing for what I do not have
Cursed with a repelling disease
Everyone avoids my glance
My broken brow rests on my knees
I feel so incomplete
Unable to break these walls
Is there even hope beyond?
No one hears my desperate calls
The onyx expanse envelops all
I in it and it in me
Pushing away the closest ones
All I want is to be free
It may shrink to give me a break
But as of now no mercy it shows
I don’t know how much I can handle
Before my self irritation blows
I am the one
None else is here
That’s the way it is
That is why I fear…
