this is to talk about you favorite Comics and Graphic novels.Talk about your favorite characters, authors, artists, etc.

Im gonna jump on the band wagon and tell you that i like the Ultimate X-men and Spiderman series(though i havn't read a new one for ages)

Windlord - January 11, 2007 03:21 AM (GMT)
I've always been a fan of these, and even though spiderman was my favorite for the longest time, I've found batman to be more appealing as of late. and suprisingly the batgirl (the mute ninja one) is pretty cool too.

Roy - January 11, 2007 11:05 PM (GMT)
I stick with marvel because they put their characters in real places(most of the time) like the fact that Daredevil, Spiderman, the X-men and the Fantastic 4 are stationed in New York.

<nerdiness> i've read some of the star wars graphic novels... </nerdiness>

Ditto...

I read Hellsing graphic novels, and Trigun and Naruto.

Though I haven't read a Marvel comic book in a long time, i'm a fan of X-Men/Spiderman though Ghost Rider was always my favorite.

Though like I said I haven't read a Marvel comic book in a long time, ever since I bought a huge box of them for about 20 bucks which was one of the greatest decisions i've made.

Windlord - January 13, 2007 08:29 PM (GMT)
yeah that probably was a good descision, my dad has the original spiderman comic where punisher is first introduced... it's worth alot, how much I dunno, but a couple of years ago it was worht 800 bucks.

I wasn't gonna mention manga's, btu I read Naruto, and have read the first Hellsing, I like naruto better, @LE:but i'll have to borrow those hellsings after lyns done with em.

Roy - January 13, 2007 08:54 PM (GMT)
@ WL: nice $800!

Has anyone read the Watchmen?

Beowulf - January 14, 2007 03:53 AM (GMT)
I loved V for Vendetta, and Neil Gaiman's Sandman will always hold a special place in my heart.

Roy - January 14, 2007 09:45 PM (GMT)
Sandman is a work of pure Genious! though i have only read the first two GN's.I actually used one of the lines from the first novel in one of my theology papers!(and the nerd world spreads out!)

DarkSun - January 14, 2007 10:57 PM (GMT)
Ah, I didn't know Manga counted.

I've read all the Naruto our library had, and downloaded some scanlated manga, but I've stopped reading because I can't find a convenient place to view it online...

I tried to read the FMA manga, but the library gave me issue 4 instead of 1 when I requested it, so it may be a while.

And I read spiderman, batman, and superman for a while when I was nine or ten... Then my mom decided they were too violent and banned them. Pwn't.

well, i guess that batman would be since he was resurected like 80 billion times!

Archmage - January 20, 2007 04:21 AM (GMT)
I am a fan of the old Gundam 803 comics.

Ishtar - March 10, 2007 02:54 AM (GMT)
One of my favorite graphic novels is Demon Diaries, it's so great!

i do like reading the Marvel/DC comics, though Batman is the DC I read.

Animator - March 14, 2007 08:43 PM (GMT)
YAY graphic novels! I read Death Note, Hikaru No go, D-gray-man and some others, I'd say Takeshi Obata is my favorite artist, even though he's a pretty weird guy. Comic books are what started me into the comic book /animation/graphic art world, and eventually led to where I am now. :D

Gearix - March 15, 2007 12:06 PM (GMT)
I'm going to read the rest of the FMA Manga.

MasterBard - March 15, 2007 12:13 PM (GMT)
I'm into comic books and that sort of thing... I just don't have anywhere I can go to get some to read... :(

Though I do like the old ghost rider comics

Dark Knight - March 15, 2007 01:19 PM (GMT)
I'm reading some Naruto mangas, :P but I also really like Batman graphic novels:duh: ;)

MasterBard - March 15, 2007 09:43 PM (GMT)

Archmage - March 16, 2007 02:55 AM (GMT)
I used to collect old Gundam comics. But after my mom packed them up when we moved years ago, I haven't found the box their in. <_<

Dark Knight - April 17, 2007 11:43 PM (GMT)
I have a bunch of my dad's Spiderman comics from like the 70s, and there actually not bad. I've read them a bunch of time, so they bore me somewhat now, but I still pick them up every once in a while. :)

maru - February 7, 2008 02:24 AM (GMT)
