Title: Harry Potter book 7
Description: Deathly Hallows...

DarkSun - February 2, 2007 07:17 PM (GMT)
...Is up for pre-order! The release date (June 21, one week after movie 5) was announced Feb. 1.

Book seven is selling in three versions: Cheap paperback, hardcover, and deluxe edition. Hardcover and Deluxe retail for $35 and $65, respectively, but are only $25-ish to pre-order.

Anyone here going to pre-order it? I just go on the library waiting list, and since they buy so many I usually get it within the week.

Windlord - February 2, 2007 07:20 PM (GMT)
meh i probably won't read it, I've read them all up to 6 but have since lost intrest.

Skorm - February 2, 2007 07:59 PM (GMT)
im probally gonna pre-order it, i wanna know who dies, its another main charector

Anmoriazzah - February 2, 2007 09:50 PM (GMT)
I'll at least read it. My friend has told me his theory on how Snape's a good guy and Dumbledore decided to die, so I HAVE to see if he;s anywhere close to being right.

eternalwasabi - February 2, 2007 10:52 PM (GMT)
hmm... i'l probably read it, say i'm gonna read the other 6 books but eventually lose interest....

DJ Rexim - February 3, 2007 08:52 PM (GMT)
You know what I'm doing, Bob. I'm gonna probably borrow it from the library then buy it later when it's cheap.

Svir - February 4, 2007 02:50 AM (GMT)
I'll read it, but just wait a month or so before getting it. I'm in no hurry. The books just aren't as good as I hope anymore so they're well written, but I still end up a little disappointed.

The title is Deathly Hallows btw. Not sure what to make of that.

Well J.K. Rowling must be happy. Now she can cap off the series and hole herself up in her castle for eternity. It's not like we see her anyway. She is really reclusive.

yes, she said in an interview she was in denial about the whole thing at first. She said she simply couldn't believe how successful it was.

It's amazing though that she hasn't like wanted any of the attention though. She seriously doesn't do anything to get attention and is super reclusive. You'd think she'd at least enjoy some of the attention.

MasterBard - February 5, 2007 02:28 PM (GMT)
Meh, I might read it, I might not, it just depends. I bet it will be good though.

Yeah... She seems almost camera-shy.

I'll probably read it, but I'm in no hurry to buy it.

Dark Knight - February 26, 2007 04:53 PM (GMT)
I will most likely read it even though I'm still mad about sirius black dying <_< , and yes I'll probably see the new movie too :)

Kyuubi - March 2, 2007 02:10 AM (GMT)
i want to know what happens pretty bad...

Animator - March 3, 2007 06:06 AM (GMT)
meh, I'll read it, but only because I've read the other 6 and feel like I should because I've already gotten that far, but I really dont care about HP anymore.

Gearix - March 3, 2007 01:44 PM (GMT)
I like the books, but we all know, Harry is gonna die, and there's a chance someone else will. And we all know that Voldemort will die as well. Him and Harry are gonna blow each other to pieces! YAY! lol, oh and Ron and Hermione will get together, and uh.....yeah, I think that about sums it up. Step thinks Dumbeldore will come back.

Harry die? eh I dunno if she could do it with all those nutcase fans out there that would commit suicide if she did... there's a harry potter help line in brittan for people that want to commit suicide just because harry potter is ending and some of them seem to have no life other then harry potter...

Gearix - March 3, 2007 02:00 PM (GMT)
Wow, that's kinda sad. But still, I think it'd be interesting to see her do it. Or maybe make Ron or Hermione die, who knows.

Dark Knight - March 3, 2007 02:26 PM (GMT)
One of the three has to die, thats obvious, but I never thought of harry as a possibility. This gives me a new desire to read the book. :Fro:

Lordemblem - March 3, 2007 06:56 PM (GMT)
I have no desire to read the books, I usually watch the movie before I decide to read the book.

The whole story of HP is just...ehhh shall we say "ok" I don't really have any desire to read the books, especially cause

1: The book has to interest me.
2: I have to enjoy reading it.

The Author is an odd one, i'll say that.

DarkSun - March 3, 2007 11:45 PM (GMT)
I loved the books but the movies kinda sucked.

The thing I loved about the books was how it was a completely different, yet believable, world. Probably why I like LOTR/Star Wars/Really any Sci-Fi, is it's like a completely different world to escape to.

Hogwarts is a freaky name though. O_o

Archmage - March 4, 2007 07:54 PM (GMT)
I agree. The books are good but the movies kept on going down hill. What is the release date on the new book?

The book is June 21st, and the movie is sometime around then.

Gearix - March 5, 2007 02:32 AM (GMT)
I believe the movie is a week or a couple days before the book.

Dark Knight - March 5, 2007 02:38 PM (GMT)
Yes you are absolutely correct and hopefully i'll get someone to see it with me, cause its not to popular with my friends.

Gearix - March 5, 2007 11:47 PM (GMT)
I was poking around on the Internet today, and I came across something about the book. I found out that of the two main characters that are supposed to die...neither one of them is Harry, Ron, or Hermione.

Dark Knight - April 21, 2007 08:09 PM (GMT)
Way to ruin the suspense Gearix ;) just kidding I really don't care and I kinda expected that anyway, but I'm definitly looking forward to reading it :)

Itarildë Telrúnya - April 30, 2007 05:20 PM (GMT)
I'm definatly gunna get it and read it. I love the Harry Potter books.

Dark Knight - June 23, 2007 02:55 AM (GMT)
In the light of the new movie coming out i have a renewed interest in Harry Potter which makes me more excited for the book to come out :)

Archmage - November 24, 2007 08:09 PM (GMT)
What did everyone think of the end of the series? I think they did a good job rapping things up.

Roy - November 25, 2007 02:26 AM (GMT)
I heard the JK Rowling (sp?) is going to write an encyclopedia on all of the characters back stories. Personally, i want to know more about Lupin, and just how he came about being a werewolf and his growing up being a werewolf.

I think the real question here is...What does everyone think of the news that Dumbledore was gay? I for one will never sleep on my Dumbledore bedsheets again! lol ;)

Archmage - November 25, 2007 05:24 PM (GMT)
Sadely, I never even seen that one coming when she dropped the bomb shell. But it would be cool if she wrote that encyclapedia you mentioned.

Dark Knight - November 28, 2007 04:56 AM (GMT)
Yeah the whole gay Dumbledore thing kinda soured me on the series as a whole <_< , but the seventh book was awesome before I heard the news. :(

Archmage - November 30, 2007 08:15 PM (GMT)
What do you think she will do with the series now?

Dark Knight - December 4, 2007 04:54 AM (GMT)
Who cares, anything new she does will never be as good, because she is done with Harry Potter as a character, so anything else wouldn't be the same

Roy - December 6, 2007 03:16 AM (GMT)
Like i said, she is going to write a Harry Potter Encyclopedia! which, in its own, is going to be awsome!

Archmage - December 12, 2007 07:06 PM (GMT)
Where'd you hear about her writing an encyclopedia?

Roy - December 13, 2007 11:11 PM (GMT)
My sister and her Boyfriend...They are both EXTREME Book people. Her boy friend is a Librarian and she is an English teacher. They always have the latest news on book things.

Edit:
I just found this I think it might answer your question.
