Since this IS a writing forum...

What's your favorite book/series? If you have more than one, go ahead and list them...just try to keep it under ten. wink.gif

Favorite series:
The Cat Who... by Lilian Jackson Braun
Trixie Belden by Julie Campbell (particularly Trixie Belden and the Marshland Mystery, as it's the first one I read and formerly belonged to my mom. smile.gif )

Favorite books:
Outbreak by Robin Cook
Omega by Patrick Lynch (I think that's his name)
Dragon Tears by Dean Koontz

Favorite genre:
A toss-up between mysteries (the series) and medical thrillers (the books). Basically anything that makes you wonder.

Yay, another Cat Who reader! Is that because I told you about them at some point? XD Also, did you ever look up Dragon Tears by Dean Koontz? I should add that to my favorite book list...

Medical thrillers are good. That one, Omega, was excellent (and frightening when you think of all the cases of MRSA going around now...), and Robin Cook's got a lot of good books (there was one involving mold that I was reading in the dark...that was a bad idea XD; wish I could remember the name of it >_< ). Andromeda Strain by Michael Crichton is another good one, if you like the technical stuff (which I do). So there's a few you can look at.

Also, Sig - The Halo books own. I just don't think they qualify as actual favorites for me...for...whatever reason. >_> I'm still waiting for the latest one to come in at the library. *pokes it*

Halo = yay nomatter what. they weren't written especially well, especially but you get a lot of good stuff out of them that you don;t get in the games, and they're interesting despite themselves.

I personally don't read as much as I'd like. (Curse you vid-no, I still wont say that.) And even when I do it's hard to get me hooked on something long enough to finish it so my list is like really small.

Series:
The Second Sons Trilogy, thank Sig for that one.
Redwall by Brian Jacques. They're all simple and straight to the point, flowery words that I have to think about to understand don't make me wanna read any more than usual. wacko.gif

Books:
Watership Down by Richard Adams. Nothing else has left much of an impression on me though I suspect it's because it had talking rabbits in it. >_>

Favorite genre:
Mysteries, though I've only read a few and action/adventure/fantasy stuff.

I think on my list of things I need to read are The Gunslinger Series and His Dark Materials. Gimme a few years and I might start the first one of one of those.

Redwall's good, but I think I sort of moved past it. There are certain things about that series that annoy me but they are extremely well-written books. It also doesn't help my interest level that I've already read every book currently released in that series. *cracks up*

I really should read Watership Down. I've heard from about every source imaginable that it's a really good book. I remember reading one book several years ago that was about a group of different animals finding a new home, having to go on quite a journey to reach it...I just can't for the life of me remember the title. @_@

Yeah, there are some annoying things. I still haven't read all of them because I just sorta lost interest. Makes me mad 'cause I'm only about halfway through them, though with as many as there are that's pretty dang good for me. *laughs*

Ugh, I really wish I had easy access to all of these books but the local libraries suck extremely and the only other way is to buy them at the local book store. And quite frankly, my parents and I aren't made of monies so I'm out of luck.

I've seen the movie, but like most movies, it's probably a bad representation ><
i wanna read the book, though all the critiques and comments i hear on it are form teenagers who hate to read . .

XD Nope Ech, I read a lot of The Cat Who books starting in like, the 9th grade or something. Qwilleran FTW!

Omega sounds like something I would enjoy reading, as do most of these other books. But sadly, Light and I are in the same boat. Local libraries are like...80 years in the past ><. And no monies! XD

*Seriously starts making a list*
