A fair arrived in the Snohomish County in the state of Washington. It was traditional to have a fair stop by at least once a year. This year, however, the fairground workers seemed weird, and so did the fair. Even before anyone entered, they knew it was spectacularly different. The colors were the same, and so were the rides as far as they could tell.

This belief was changed immediately once given entrance into the fair. Instead of a regular wristband or a glow-in-the-dark stamp, they were given a watch. They were not told what to do with it except to wear it the entire evening and not to take it off until the arrived safely in their homes. Even then, they would need to make certain nothing was terribly strange about their home. They were not told this unless necessary.

There are many incidents which have lead the citizens of this county to make guesses as to what goes on at the fair. It often begins with them thinking they have gone crazy. From there, they turn to magic, which is not even a little bit wrong. What kind of magic and how the magic is produced may be incorrect, but the fair employees are definitely magical.

One thing the visitors find out as they reach the backgrounds of the fair rides is that they save the best for last. There is a strong recommendation that children not ride the carousel that was built in the back. Of course, this raises questions. Was this not the favorite childhood ride they once knew? Apparently not. As each person is drawn toward the mysterious ride of riding on creature-back, surrounded by lights, the Fair Owner, Vladislav Boyko Bevell, makes sure their watch is on and warns them very seriously about the ride.

"You must understand something before stepping onto this platform. It is not your normal ride. You are guaranteed an adventure of a lifetime. You will have three hours to figure out the puzzles. It is all in your mind, I assure you, as you will physically be on the animals, on the carousel, but this does not mean there is no danger. Be careful. If you do not figure out the puzzle, your watch will bring you back. Do you agree?" The Bulgarian asks in rough English. Sticking out his hand, he waits for the shake of contractual agreement. This is their ticket into the realm of ImagiNation. Some have changed their minds, and some have thought of it as a bit of a joke. None have died... yet.

Though they have three hours in this magnificent land, the ride at the fair lasts a mere three minutes where the riders sit and stare into space, completely immersed in their own world for what physically feels like three hours. Some come back solely for the ride, and others never come within three yards of the fair again. It all depends on what kind of an adventurer you are. As for the lucky people with friends who accompany them, as long as they are on a animal by one another and touching, they can go to the same place, in the same time frame. Then of course, their worlds combine, and it is a whole different experience than being alone.

The watches work through a mysterious magic, but not only that. Science is involved. Magnetics. Vladislav is a semi-genius, at least of his own kind. He figured out how to connect the watches to the carousel through magnets. This is how he manages to pull the riders back when their three-minute ride is up. Plus... a lot of luck on both ends.

Why isn't everyone covering this fair like a mad mob? That answer is simple. Only a few hundred people, if that many, were allowed into the fair. After that, the only ones who could enter were the ones who already had. The entrance conductor, as they call him, has the gift of memory. This is one of the many magical abilities displayed by these bunches of people. How or why they received these powers is known by few, questioned by many, but the answer is sought out by even fewer. In any case, The tickets that they are handed leave another mark on them, another contract. Once they hand over their first ticket for a ride, food, or a show, they agree that they will not tell anybody on the outside about the fair itself or its ongoings.
