Gabriel sighed heavily, leaning back in the back seat of the taxi. Cain had found him again, left him bruised, broken and bloody, but at least the blood was dry right now. He refused to go to a hospital, cause he knew they wouldn't do well if he ended up shifting on them. He only had a name and no address. Thankfully, the driver knew who Gabriel was talking about and was currently driving him to the house. The driver said it was out in the boonies, on Valencia drive. Gabriel barely heard him, but it registered. He was concentrating more on his wounds than anything else. He had managed to stitch himself up, but he hadn't cleaned the blood. There was no time. He had told the driver that after he got out at the house, the driver should have the back seat cleaned. He hoped that he would be welcomed there, cause this place was his last option. Gabriel refused to go to the Council, regardless that it was under new management. He liked Xander, but Willow and Buffy didn't like Gabriel much.

Xander always kept Gabriel informed on where Slayers would be, so that Gabriel could stay on the fringe. Close to their protection, but off their radar. He knew how much Gabriel didn't want the Slayers to find him. The newbs didn't exactly shared the Scoobies' world view on Werewolves. Gabriel barely registered the cabbie talking to a teen in red, who looked at Gabriel in concern, then alarm when he heard the man's story. The cabbie was a Loup-Garou, like Gabriel, so he sympathized with him.

Connor helped the cabbie take Gabriel out of the back seat, the smaller but older man barely able to move. Kira got under Gabriel's other side, when they reached part way to the house, Trent running into the house, calling for Tommy.
