Description (according to Official Website):
“Despite her appalling fashion sense, my Mom is our family’s glue. This weekend our glue’s doing time in the slammer.” When Diane gets arrested at a protest rally and has to spend the weekend in jail, John, Alice and Mac are forced to fend for themselves. John quickly becomes overwhelmed, and when he’s called away to assume Diane’s duties at Meals on Wheels, Alice takes the opportunity to invite popular Karen Field over. Karen’s visit soon descends into an out-of-control house party, a situation even Mac can’t fix. Meanwhile Diane, who was initially devastated to be away from her family, winds up having a restful “holiday” in jail. In the end, though, she’s happy to discover how badly she was missed and needed, and is glad to be home – even if it means having to clean up a serious mess. My Review (skewed due to family trouble, will only give a preliminary rating): From what I noticed, this episode is going backwards in time. Because Alice is no longer blonde, she's the former brunette from back in the first episode. It was pretty odd to see Diane go to jail for a dumb rally. But, John's antics in his wife's place were pretty hilarious. It seems he misses her. As for Alice and Mac, the house party was a mess. Who knew that inviting Karen Field would yield nasty results? I would know myself. Even Wing Lee can't stand it. The robot stuff was hilarious, too. From Alice tossing it to the basement to its final word "Bruce is my name". I feel like it's made from the Sirius Cybernetics Corporation. Too funny. I never got to see this episode in-depth because I was in trouble with my family. As a result, a preliminary grade will be given to this 'true' Season Finale. 9.5/10 |
