| QUOTE | Hi all,
Nick has asked me to kick off a little data gathering exercise as the first stage of building up a database of all Lost characters in the UK.
I need the following information regarding every character in the chronicle (including those who have died or left play through other nefarious means). This can come from players or storytellers, and can be as sparse or as detailed as you can manage:
1/ Character name (and player name if you are not the player of the character) 2/ What is the name of the character's Keeper (if known)? 3/ Is the Keeper detailed in any source books or plot kits, and if so which ones (page numbers would be great for books)? 4/ Are you aware of any other Lost who share the same Keeper, and if so who are they? 5/ Based on whatever information you have, what sorts of characters do you think your character's keeper would be interested in? Do most of their victims end up as Fairest? Do they prefer to take only men, only children or only those with red hair? Anything we can use to find realistic Keepers for new characters would be very gratefully received. 6/ Is there anything else useful you can tell us about the Keeper?
What we're going to do with this information is to try and ensure that that all Lost have a Keeper (even if they don't know who they are), and that when characters enter play they can be linked to the most appropriate Keeper based on their character concept. Some Keepers are already detailed at http://lost.islesofdarkness.com/index.php?title=Keepers but there is a lot more information out there that we simply don't have.
I would really like to have a fair amount of this information by the end of October, so I can feed back to Nick in my October report.
Replies can come to me (andy @ teknostatik.co.uk - without the spaces), and I'll try and acknowledge everything I receive.
And think about Fetches too. I think Fetches might have to be next.
Regards,
Andy
