- Why am I leaving my home in the east? Why would I travel south in a blizzard? My home is solitude and the creatures are getting out of hand. One cannot rule so much without needing a moment to themselves. I am traveling to the south to reside there for the period of time needed for myself. The pads of my paws numb from the frozen ground beneath me as I tread through the snow. The lids of my eyes squinted from the blowing drift. I could feel the fatigue slowly gaining up on my body. With each step my legs grew stiffer and with each breath my body became colder. The only sound that reaches my ears is that of the screeching wind and my own heavy breaths.

In the distance a dark mass appears through the wind, a forest for protection and warmth. Here the trees block the screeching wind and there is more foliage on the ground than snow and though the ground is still cold and the climate is still fairly harsh it is a relief for sore eyes. The sounds here are of the flocking of birds and the discrete sound of hooves in the distance. As I travel deeper into the forest the more the wind dies and the cold fades. I find myself leaning against a tree for support and protection as I scope the area.
“Where do you go on a snowy day when the wind is coming from the North?” ,My ears twitch at the sound. “It seems as though that your direction is south it is that, that I am sure” I turn my head to see a red fox standing a few meters from my location. “Your legs are week and your breaths are short, could you not be protected by your precious fur?” I look at the fox with a straight gaze,
“I am headed to the South winds to see my precious friend Nym” The fox circles me and the tree. “Ahh… Nym the horse is no longer there, but if you would like to know there is more information I would gladly share”
I keep my gaze. “She has headed to the desert of the unclaimed lands; she will be there when you arrive. So leave now and head that way and I am sure she is who you will find.”

My direction changes as I head towards Kaia the desert land that the fox spoke of. The farther I travel the more the climate changes and soon my paws touch the sand. In the distance the image is still clear, that same terrain for miles and miles. With each step the warmth from the ground travels through my body with intense speed. The smells here are of scales and bones, but in the distance that of salt. The wind carries sand and it sticks to my muzzle and the inside of my ears leaving a burning sensation every time I breath.

Days pass as I continue to travel to the end of the peninsula when finally a familiar voice is carried with the wind. My ears twitch as I continue to listen for certainty; yes it is her, Nym. I sprint to the smell of the ocean and the sound of her voice. Soon the water is visible in the distance and the smell of salt is consistently flowing into my muzzle but with traces of Iron, Blood. My sprint turns to a race with the wind to the oceans side with three horses in sight. In the ocean stands Nym, the horse I have a past, present, and future alliance with, my friend. I stay back far enough away to be safe from the other two unknown horses but within sight of Nym. Being the only wolf, so small and weak, near three large horses is intimidating. I look for the cause of blood seeing an unfamiliar sharp object in the shoulder of my good friend.
