Let's go back Back to the beginning Back to when the earth, the sun, the stars all aligned
'Cause perfect didn't feel so perfect Trying to fit a square into a circle Was no life I defy
[CHORUS:] Let the rain fall down And wake my dreams Let it wash away My sanity 'Cause I wanna feel the thunder I wanna scream Let the rain fall down I'm coming clean, I'm coming clean
I'm shedding Shedding every colour Trying to find a pigment of truth Beneath my skin
'Cause different Doesn't feel so different And going out is better Than always staying in Feel the wind
("Come Clean (Let the Rain Fall Down)" by Hillary Duff, lyrics from http://www.sing365.com )
As the cream fae approached her den, clouds covered the evening sky. Hints of purple, pink, and orange could be seen through the clouds. The colors soon dulled and darkened, as thunder could be heard. The femme knew another storm was coming. Vert would be coming along soon, she knew. She was around fifteen yards away from the border.
Mist yawned and streched. Night was approaching quickly. The rain poured, making a soft knocking sound on the stone den. Light green grass became moist, and a dark green color as it flopped over. The femme laid down, crossing her paws. The femme laid her head on her paws.

Rain dribbled down his coat. He wans't quite soaked, but he was wet...He was somewhere in the middle of the two. He followed Mist slowly, watching her figure disappear into the den. He wasn't running anymore, he had decided to take it is and enjoy the rain. It was quite refreshing actually. Cold droplets sliding down his flanks, hge let out a small, but happy, sigh.
His eyes gazed back behind him, he would no longer wander, well, not alone. He would stand by Mist. His promise was still strong, his silent one to make her happy, like a guardian angel would. He wanted to be that much for her, if he couldn't pull off being a good mate-which he would try his hardest to be-he would make her happy no matter what.
He came to the den and sat outside for a minute, catching raindrops on his tounge. He didn't know whether to enter or not, so he sat, raindrops on his tounge, waiting for an invitation to enter.

Mist lifted her head. Her cream maw opened, and a chuckle could be heard. Come along in, dear. the fae said, a smile coming across his maw. Her maw closed, and it became silent. Mist stood up, and trotted outside of the den. She let the raindrops fall onto her tongue, and her tail flickered in a good-mannered way. Mist smiled at the brute, before she trotted back into the den.
The cream fae laid back down, her paws crossed. Mist laid her head on her paws and yawned, showing her snow white teeth for a moment, and a little whimper came as she yawned. The femme rolled onto her side, and closed her honey colored eyes. Mist soon fell asleep.

Mist's tail tucked tightly agaisnt her side across from Vertigo. Her laid laid on her paws still, and her gentle breathing could be heard. The cream fae opened her eyes up around three o'clock AM. She yawned and her honey colored eyes looked around. She felt Vert's head on her side and she smiled. He laid next to her side, and she watched him sleep for a moment.
Mist laid her head back onto her paws and looked around a bit. Her tail gently swiped agaisnt the rocky den's floor. She yawned and closed her eyes, before she fell back asleep at exactly three fourty five AM. The femme's dreams were pleasant.

Mist opened her honey colored eyes. The femme smiled at Vert, noticing him instantly near the front of the den. She yawned and stood up. Mist stretched and yawned again. The fae looked at Vert. Good morning. she said, being able to tell it was around five fourty. Sun streamed through a crack in the side of the den. The femme nodded to the brute as she trotted out of the den.
She went down to a creek and dipped her muzzle into the cold, refreshing water. Water dripped from her maw and she closed her muzzle and lifted her head. The cream fae then went over to scanning the borders. She walked along the borders, alert for anything. A cold breeze ruffled her fur, and the ground was damp and covered with leaves.

Yes, it is... said Mist, sighing peacefully. Winter had now come, and clouds covered the ground. Snow gently fell, falling into her coat.
-One Week Later-
Mist smiled and walked over to Vert. Hey! Vert... she said, her voice softening and getting quiet when she said Vert. Vert? she asked, looking into his eyes. Would you like pups? the cream colored fae asked him.
Mist held her breath silently, laying her head agaisnt Vert's chest. She spoke softly. I love you. she said, with a small smile. Mist really did love Vert.
