Forum Rules - Read First!
Here at the Brinstar Depths Forums, we really want everybody to be able to have a good time. But to be able to do that, you've got to have rules.

As such, the rules are very, very important. These are the general forum rules (And most of them should be common sense), and apply to the entire forum. Some sections have specific rules of conduct for their areas, be sure to read those too.

Before I start, I want to remind everybody that while this is a community for everybody, it is not a Democracy. The rules, and decisions made by the Staff are not up for debate; so don't try it.

General Rules of Conduct:

1. No inapropriate or 'adult' content of ANY kind. You know what we mean by this, and breaking this rule will result in either a heavy warn or suspension, and repeat offences will lead to a ban.

2. No flaming. Speaking your mind is okay, but insults and derogatory speach are unacceptable. Remember that you're not the only person with an opinion. Offenders can expect a warning.

3. No spam. Basically what this means is that you need to keep what you're posting relevant to the topic. Mild topic evolution is allowed so long as it's benificial, which will be determined on a case-by-case scenario by the Staff. There is also a forum for spam, so keep it there. Repeat offences lead to warns.

4. No 'warez'. ROMs, game cracks, and other such material are not to be distributed or linked to on any board. This will result in a heavy warn, suspension, or instant ban.

5. No Insubordination. When a mod does something, it's been done for a reason and will be looked at by other moderators to determine validity. It is not your place to try and argue with them, and doing so will result in a warning.

6. No backseat moderating. If a fellow member is breaking the rules, it's the job of a moderator to take care of it. Correcting other members often will not increase your chances of becoming a moderator, and repeatedly doing so will result in ticking off the Staff and may lead to a warn.

7. Don't ask to become a Staff member. Members of the Staff are chosen only by the members of the Staff, and always with a reason. Asking to become a moderator often is a good way lower your chances of actually being one.

By joining these forums, you are expected to have read and follow the rules whether you actually have or not. Don't worry though, we know that it may take time for you to learn the ropes so we'll be a bit leniant with you for a few days.

I want to stress again that this is NOT a democracy; these rules are not up for debate.

Have fun, listen to the Staff, respect your fellow members, and follow the rules!
