So I was doing a Zero Mission Speed run, and I just finished at 44:37 and 30% of the items. This is the best time I've ever gotten, I think.
So, what're all your scores? Maybe we can get some sort of speedrun competition going! |

It helps if you know the trick to fight Ridley before Kraid. There's a spot in the upper right corner of Norfair you can enter after getting the Ice Beam, there's a hidden tunnel that leads all the way down to the bottom. You can skip a good deal of the upgrades this way, and best of all the shave off that time it takes on your return trip (Since you don't have to come back to Norfair once you leave!)
One thing though is that you're missing a lot of things like Varia Suit, Speed Boost, and High Jump, so you've got to be a little creative when it comes to invading the Ridster's lair. If I could, I'd make a video of that section for you... but I don't really have any of the required tools... I thought I was pretty special when I found it, but then saw a video online... Oh well. |
