She tipped the white plastic container of the coffee cup to her lips, sipping the sugary liquid, as it radiated heat, warming her palms and face. She couldn't help but let out a small sigh.. Throwing the now empty cup to the nearest trash can, June continued to walk the lonely sidewalk to the school. Her black and white converse were stained with mud, and her rolled up skinnies caused goosebumps to form on her exposed ankles.
Cars silently passed by her, trees shaking ever so slowly in the winds. It was a quiet morning, maybe peaceful, she wasn't too sure yet.
Reaching the grounds of T.R Rolling High School she trekked over to a lonely tree rooted on the green hill in front of the school. She had came a little early today, not a lot of students had shown up yet, and the bell wasn't due until another 20 minutes. Perching herself on the hill she leaned back comfortably on the tree. She reached into her brown tote bag and pulled out a small blue Ipod, a gift from her mother. With a content smile she switched it towards Tegan & Sara before closing her eyes.
