Although virus carriers are identified at birth, the virus does not become active until the carrier is anywhere from 5 to 29 years of age. At this point, the carrier begins to experience nausea, headaches, and in some cases, blackouts. From there, the carriers begin to develop supernatural powers. Officials claim this is part of insanity settling in, but in truth, this is only propaganda. Most carriers are completely sane. However, they cannot control their powers as they emerge, and not all powers are obvious. This makes the claim of insanity easier to believe as carriers cause destruction or try to explain what's happening to their bodies. All powers are unique and at this point no two carriers have the same.
