Describe Lavender Brown by means of appearance, and people would probably answer that she looks like your typical girl-next-door. She radiates a sort of sweet and carefree aura wherever she goes. This girl cares a lot about her appearance – appearances, she believes, give off better first impressions. One would always see her brushing her long brown hair and putting up powder on her face before she enters the Great Hall, or sometimes a classroom. Her nails are always painted in different colors each week, and she loves wearing ponytails and headbands [of the trendy type, of course].

Lavender’s long brown hair flows down her shoulders in straight lines. It was Lavender’s third year, when she was eating breakfast in the Great Hall and talking to her best friend, Parvati Patil. Her sister, Raven, then approaches her and hands her a letter. It was from her parents, saying that her favorite pet, her pet rabbit Binky, had died. She was inconsolable for days. And it didn’t help that Professor Trelawney had predicted it on her first day in Divination.
