Hiyro felt a pang of guilt as his attack had hit, but it quickly passed. He knew that he hadn't hurt him too bad, and there were tons of healers nearby. It was all in fun, even if this beginning to feel like a real fight. Things were definitely getting more serious then a regular spar between captains, especially when his Zanpakuto's spirit showed herself in the physical world, something his own had only done once or twice his regular form, and it was never in front of somebody else. Hiyro studied the spirit carefully, hoping to gain an insight of some sort. Her voice was so lovely, it was almost like she was singing when she spoke.
When Shiroku's Zanpakuto disappeared, Hiyro knew what was happening. He never thought that anyone's bankai would be released this early in the fight, it definitely took him by surprise. Just as before, Hiyro knew that in order for this fight to be fair, he would have to release his bankai as well. This wasn't really the opportune place for that, but it could be with a little preparation. As the pressure in the air began to rise from Shiroku, Hiyro began whispering an incantation, speaking swiftly.
Kidō wasn't his strongest suit, but it definitely wasn't his weakest. As he spoke, his left hand began to glow as he wove different Kidō's together creating a sphere around their battle area, meant to make the inside invisible to anyone looking in. From the inside it appeared to have a rainbow color to it, but was slightly opaque. Now if someone were to look upon the rock they stood, they wouldn't see anybody, only the landscape that had been there previously. His next incantation added another dimension to the barrier, making it so that no spiritual power would leak through. If he was going to be releasing his bankai, he didn't want to wake up half of the shinigami while doing it. He also didn't know how far the battle was going to progress, so he hid them from the outside so if he had to use his secret ability, only Shiroku would be able to see it.
Even though the barrier took up much of his concentration, Hiyro still had enough focus to watch Shiroku's bankai transformation, almost shunpo-ing out of the way as blades shot in every direction, but saw that their trajectory would fall just short of his position, so kept his stance, not wanting to do anything to take away from the incantations. As the transformation finishes, so did Hiyro's words, the barrier complete. Quicker then a blink, Shiroku was able to put five cuts into Hiyro's robes so quickly Hiyro barely had time to process it, yet alone parry or block them. With this level of skill, Hiyro was happy that he took the measures so he could release his bankai.
"I would have to say quite opposite, Shiroku. I definitely didn't think that this morning when I woke up I would be entwined in such a fight. But that's what makes it more exciting." he said with a small smirk, putting both his hands on the hilt of his sword.

Hiyro was sure now that Shiroku must be the fastest Shinigami he had faced to date. A very admirable quality. But speed wasn't everything in battle, Hiyro had come to learn. Since the strikes Shiroku was landing weren't damaging him, Hiyro decided instead of trying to counter them or move, he would relax and observe. He still kept his guard up, but for the most part, he just relaxed as the view of multiple Shiroku's danced (not literally) across their battlefield. It was impossible to follow his movements, but Hiyro tried, but every time he thought he had a grasp on his speed, it slipped away as soon as it had come.
Hiyro stood still the whole 15 minutes, quietly and discreetly observing. He knew that the information gathered wouldn't help him in this battle in particular, but in the future it could be helpful. His heart raced with excitement as Shiroku finally let out his Bankai, awaiting for Hiyro to do the same before he attacked. Shiroku was right, Hiyro probably would die fighting in Shikai against his Bankai. This battle was progressing fairly nicely. Without answering, Hiyro didn't waste any time releasing his own Bankai with a burst of pressure "irozameru" he said in a quiet voice, his blade transforming. Unlike most Shinigami, Hiyro didn't change appearance with his Bankai, only his sword.
"Well, if you're finished your nice little show, we can begin the real fight," he said in a half serious, half joking tone. Waiting around for 15 minute had made him restless, his blade too, and they were itching to get the action started again. Not wanting to wait anymore, Hiyro held up his right hand, forming a ball of dark matter that floated in the air above his palm. Without a movement or sign that he was about to attack, the dark matter broke into three pieces and shot at Shiroku. He was hoping to hit Shiroku with at least one, but knew he would be smart enough to dodge them. Using his boosted manipulation, Hiyro shunpoed in front of his enemy, much quicker then his regular speed, but nothing compared to what Shiroku had just shown.
Hiyro didn't usually attack unless he meant to kill, so sparring like this was definitely a test for him to scale back and practice the intricacies of battle instead of the power of it. So he aimed a slash of his sword at Shiroku, hoping that he will parry and not dodge, the main point of the attack being making contact with his opponent. Hiyro manipulated the particles in the air and around his opponent's feet to increase in friction, hoping to slow him down somewhat. But if what Shiroku said was true, Hiyro was going to have to do much better then this, for Shiro had trained specifically to fight these tactics.
((I'm so sorry it sucks and that it took so long!! FORGIVE MEEE!!!!))

He could tell that his lack of putting his all into this battle was starting to aggravate his opponent. Hiyro realized that in order to win this was to stop trying to not hurt Shiroku and actually fight him like an enemy, give it his 'all', most would say. His sword was already trapped in his chain, it wouldn't come loose even with a firm tug. Hiyro smiled half heartedly back at Shiroku as he smiled at him, knowing that he had him fairly trapped. The smile faded immediately as he calculated a way out of the chain as his opponent stepped closer.
His mind played out scenario after scenario in such a small time frame. He had to pick one, and fast, and he had to make sure it was the right one. "Fine." he sighed a little "You have my word, I will not hold back anymore." the rest of his spiritual pressure released, weighing the air inside their bubble down incredibly. Gripping the hilt of his sword, Hiyro sent a very large surge of Reiatsu into the blade, enough to loosen the chain for just a moment, enough to pull it free, shunpoing away quickly to avoid another similar attack. He was already planning on what to do next even before he knew his plan would work.
Suspended in the air with footholds of dark matter, he took a quick steadying breath, plunging his concentration into forming five blades of condensed dark matter around Shiroku, each aiming at him from a different direction. It took only a moment to form them and the second they were done, they shot forth, growing in size as they neared their target.

Hiyro was sure that his attack was going to hit, or at least do some damage. He was actually kind of disappointed when Shiroku was able to avoid the attack completely, spiking his energy levels to a level close to his own, if only for a moment. It was really quite impressive, actually. As Shiroku began twisting his blade, he readied for another attack, forming dark matter over his blade and body, making him appear almost like a shadow. It took an incredible amount of concentration to form the dark matter in this way, leaving him fairly unable to react quickly, but gave him a very nice defense against powerful attacks. Shiroku appeared behind him, Hiyro barely had time to turn around before he fired his charged attack.
The shot was fired as Hiyro was still turning his body, but his Dark Matter armor absorbed most of the impact, until his blade could take over. He fired off a blade of Dark Matter into the remainder of the attack, pouring his energy into making it condensed enough to repel the attack. Even though he tried to take every measure to not get hit, some of the attack did penetrate his defenses, adding new injuries to the ones from earlier. Wiping the blood that had formed on his lip, Hiyro kept his opponent in his vision, noticing his shaking arm.
"Don't push yourself too far on my account, Shiroku, I still need my captains to be in good fighting condition." It wasn't an order, more like a friendly request, but the Captain Commander was still worried. It would be very unfortunate to come under attack and have himself and a captain injured from a foolish spar. He would never be able to forgive himself if something were to happen to Soul Society because he didn't think about his actions. "You seem to be wanting to push me to my limits, Shiroku, I know what you're doing." he knew Shiroku wanted to test his strongest abilities, probably to either see how he measured up to them, or just for the sake of knowing the information. Hiyro trusted Shiroku from what he had seen today, and knew that if asked, would definitely keep the secret.
"The reason for my absence was to train my new found bankai ability. I was ordered by the Central 46 to only use this in dire situations, and to only tell a select few. Only those I trust. I trust you, Shiroku, so I will show you the final stage of my bankai. You will be the first other then myself to see him."
Holding his blade in front of his body, he closed his eyes, muttering a few words under his breath. Taking a deep breath, his Zanpakuto vanished, and a wind kicked up, creating a whirlwind of dust, clouding the visibility of their 'fighting dome'. Even before the dust settled, a pair of glowing red eyes burned through the dust, a large black body slowly becoming visible as the cover settled, revealing a snarling, horrifying dragon. He was about 40 feet tall, and appeared to be a skeleton, aside from the free flowing dark matter that flowed over the bones. "This is Kirai, the true form of my Zanpakuto." Kirai let out a roar after his introduction, vibrating the ground itself with it's volume.

Hiyro's hand rested on Kirai's shoulder, the dark matter of his body flowing over Hiyro's skin freely. Of course if anyone else were to touch it, they would be almost indefinitely bonded to it, and it would drain their energy quite rapidly. Kirai was a very deadly weapon, he was glad he would never have to face him. Of course he could just turn and attack Hiyro, but he wanted nothing more then to protect Hiyro. Giving up his sword was a sign that Hiyro trusted Kirai, with his life, as he was essentially useless. Of course him and his dragon had a bond that allowed them to work as the most efficient team, but they still had a lot of training to do together. Kirai has hinted that he has most abilities then just the ones he's shown, but that Hiyro isn't ready to learn them. Of course the Captain Commander trusted his Zanpakuto's judgement, if he thought he wasn't ready, chances were that he wasn't.
Kirai snarled at the dust kicked up, unfurling his wings to hold them out to protect Hiyro from the barrage of dust and dirt. Hiyro had to squint a little to see, but the wing was blocking most of the kicked up dirt. He was able to see the pillar closing in on them, the ground beginning to glow. A creature as big as this dragon definitely hated enclosed spaces, for good reason. He felt the dragon's stance change, and he shook his head, "no, you'll hurt all of us." he told him quietly, knowing that an attack of this magnitude could not be stopped with a simple physical attack.
This was the first time Hiyro was actually fighting a worthy opponent with Kirai, he actually felt quite useless. Becomingly painfully aware of how unprotected he really was without his sword, he pressed closer to Kirai as the attack closed in on them. Shiroku finished the words of his attack and it exploded unexpectantly, sending Shiroku flying across their arena. Kirai was able to absorb most of the blow, letting out a scream of pain, Hiyro groaning as their connection fed him some of the pain. At least he was able to help his dragon by shouldering some of the pain.
Blood dripped down his arm as more wounds were opened up by the remainder of the attack Kirai couldn't block. His barrier was cracking, he could feel it eating away his strength as it tried to stay up with it's now weakened structure. Just as quickly as he was called out, Hiyro had to call back Kirai, the mighty beast turning back into a simple katana, forming in Hiyro's hand. As soon as the dragon as out of site, Hiyro let go the energy he was feeding to the force feild the bubble dissipating in less then a second. He was injured, but not as much as Shiroku was. His lilac eyes fell on him as he was limping over to him, the dust finally clearing.
His eyes widened as he took in the extent of the damage. His hand instinctively grabbed Shriroku's as he grabbed his robes, looking up at the taller man. Hiyro nodded seriously "I swear on my honor, Shiroku." he said, staring back intensely. Along with Shiroku's bankai, Hiyro was also now supporting him, holding his arms from the front. As she disappeared, he was sprayed with blood, holding onto him tighter so he didn't fall to the ground un cushioned. Switfly picking up the bigger man, Hiyro put his body over his shoulders, his heavy body seeming weightless with all the adrenaline pumping through his body. He shunpoed to the division 4 barracks, setting Shiroku's bleeding body on a table in a private room.
A division member took a few minutes to get to them, while they were waiting Hiyro got to work on beginning to heal his Captain's wounds. He wasn't the best healer, but it was better then doing nothing, he couldn't just stand there waiting. A seated officer from division 4 joined them eventually, surveying the both of them. Hiyro gave a meeble smile to the other shinigami in place of an explination, looking down at Shiroku. "I'm pretty lousy at healing, hopefully you can do better," he said almost too cheerfully, clapping the younger looking shinigami on the shoulder. As if is wasn't enough pressure healing a captain, but to have the CC over your shoulder watching, that would be stressful.
But Hiyro wanted to stay to make sure that he was going to be okay. Even though he knew that he was in good hands, Hiyro just wanted to be there when he woke up. He took a seat in the corner of the room as the healer got to work.
