General Rules1. Remain as Active as possible. This is supposed to be a rather active site since no one wants to rp with someone who will just not show up for a month. This being said, if you are inactive for a month without a reason being posted in the OOC then you will be deleted.
2. Adult content is allowed. The rating for this RPG is approximately 17+, though if you have the maturity level to deal with what this rating allows (sex, rape, murder, swearing, descriptive violence and gore, etc), you are welcome to join. Don't go overboard on these things though, use common sense when doing these things. Also if things are starting to go towards a sexual side on your board put private in the boards subtitle.
3. You can play as many characters as you can keep active. Pretty easy to understand, you can make as many characters as you want, just so long as you can keep active with them. If you find yourself swamped with too many characters pm me and we can delete the ones you want.
4. Keep in character as much as possible. Try to limit your OOC post to the OOC Board. If you need to say something real quick in ooc in your board then that is allowed, but don't turn that into a conversation.
5. No advertising. Don't advertise, simple.
6. Post a Character Description. Post a character description in the appropriate section to be approved by one of the approving members of the site. If you do not post your character's description within a week- two weeks you will be deleted.
Note- I say a week to two weeks just because I doubt I'll do a character prune once a week.7. If you need to post vignettes -- detail happenings in your character’s life, either past or present--
please do so under your character profile board in Character Descriptions. Cause they aren't really rps since they tend to be one-sided.
8. Signatures. Please, try to keep images in your signatures down to a minimum, if you are going to use one keep it small so it doesn't slow the boards down. Also, if your signature is stupid and I want it gone, respect my wishes and just do as I ask.
9a. Multiple Characters. Don't make more characters then you can keep active with, simple.
9b. Multiple Accounts. Don't make more then one account.
Role-Playing Rules1. Avoid cliché. That is, make a character that is new and interesting. Also, in this RP I require that you make characters that are unique to you, and not pulled from a book. This being said, I do realize that if you are making an Angel you may not know every angel's name so if you post a character with the same name as a true one, {Gabriel, Michael, Azreal, Raziel, etc.}, I will read your character's description and allow the name ONLY IF the description proves without a doubt to me that you are not stealing this character from any literature, this includes the bible.
2. Be descriptive. Avoid one-liners as though your life depended on it, because it very well may, I am a mean person. If you kill someone's character, as is likely to happen on this board, and they complain I'll look at your rp and if I find one-liners, power playing, god-moding, or anything of the sort the other character will be deemed alive and you will get a punishment of some sort.
3. Don't be overly descriptive. I don't want to read three paragraphs on a pair of shoes.
4. Use clear, precise language. Always be sure of the meaning of a word or synonym before using it. Don’t thesaurus-thump, but feel free to use them if you need to.
5. Do not power play, god mode, or anything of the sort. I will show no mercy on this rule. If you do this once you will be warned, after that you will be banned permanently. No exceptions, however if you are in a fight don't be someone who dodges everything even if you aren't hurting the other person in the process, people get hurt in combat even if it's not lethal.
6. Keep an eye on spelling and grammar. This sort of goes with the descriptive post rule; use punctuation where it is required, and always check for typos before you post. And, for your sake, please no chat-speak.
7. Your characters can die. Okay, yes you're characters can be killed. No matter how powerful you are you're characters have the ability to die. This isn't a nice site where the world is kind and perfect, so yes you may die. However, if you think it was an unfair death get in touch with me and tell me the thread it happened on. I'll review it and decide whether it's fair or not.
8. Do not turn a mortal without their consent. Okay, this is sorta an iffy rule. If I allow death why won't I allow this? I dunno honestly, but it stands none the less. Don't turn a mortal into a vampire unless the mortal allows it.
Note- This doesn't mean the character likes it, just that you've asked the person playing the character and they are alright with it.
9. NPCs are allowed. Npcs are allowed for many purposes. Better this then having mortals die every day just to satisfy your blood lust. This being said, no you can't have an NPC Angel around, and even a demon is iffy if I'll allow it. Keep it small.
10. Do not hunt people in the sanctuaries! If you have a board with someone inside one of the safe spots in the city no violence is allowed in those places! ~Mortals beware though because you can still be hurt in the pit and in the casino, this is more for the upper level demons and angels who may be able eventually.~
RegisteringNow that you have read the rules above and the other sections we can move on. Now what? First, register yourself an account. The link for doing so can be found at the top of the page, in the section after the Google ad.
Your user name does not have to be your character name, but please make it something tasteful. Also, it is likely not necessary to include numbers in your user name, and if the name you wanted is taken think of a new one because it really isn't amazingly difficult.
Note- The word sexy in a name is an easy way to get on my bad side real quick.
Next, I require you to copy and paste the appropriate form, which is then to be filled in and posted in the Character Descriptions forum, located in the OOC section. You can include more than in on the form just not less. After you do this you can feel free to rp as you wish. However, if I read your desc and find something questionable/flat out wrong I'll post it in your character's description thread for you to correct. Listen well, after posting your description you CAN RP. Just correct the mistakes when I get to them.
For the Topic Title of your character description, please enter your character's name. Also please put your race in the subtitle section of the thread.
Just to make sure things are extremely clear, let's go over that again. Copy and paste the stats sheet below in the Character Descriptions forum before posting in character.
One last time. You do not need to be approved and registered in order to rp. You can rp before I get to your sheet. Just correct the problems when I do contact you.Closing Notes- These rules were brought to you by
Vital- An Advanced Vampire Rp. They are not word for word the same, but I used them to make my rules none the less so they do receive full credit for said rules.
