There are a few basic rules one needs to follow while role-playing here in Baroque to keep everything simple and to keep everyone happy. Disregard for these rules or blatant defiance of these rules will result in warnings or bans depending on the severity of the situation.

1. Absolutely no god-moding or power-playing! This means someone is claiming to be all-powerful/unbeatable character or controlling someone else's character. If an admin sees you doing this, you will be warned.

2. Use your manners at all times while out of character or in the cbox. Joking is understandable, but do not deliberately fight or argue with other members. Any inappropriate conduct will result in warnings or bans depending on the situation.

3. It is required that you sign up with the name of your character or a reasonable name related to your character. Any stupid or ridiculous names (such as WiLdChIlD618, etc.) will cause you to get deleted on sight. Contact an admin by e-mail or on an instant messenger if you're unsure about this, such as when your character's name is already taken. Or you can sign up with whatever name and then ask an admin about it or to change it.

4. You must make a character description before you can roleplay. You must also put a link to your character description in your signature. Contact an admin if you are not sure how.

5. When posting in character, keep it relevant to the topic. Don't enter someone else's topic and start talking about something completely off subject. You will get warned for this.

6. No spamming whatsoever. If your only reason for joining this board is to advertise or spam, you will be automatically banned. This also includes intentional double posting.

7. You cannot say you have an item unless you have bought it in the shops. This includes weapons, spells, creatures, instruments, etc. Just look in the shops and see if the item is there. If it is, you can't say you have it unless you have bought it and put it in your inventory. Go to the Shops forum to read the shop rules there.

8. Keep in mind that Baroque is basically set in a Victorian/Medieval setting. The only technology you can really have is a gun. This means you cannot have electronics, jeans, and other modern items. If you are unsure, contact an admin.

9. Be sensible about battles. If the player you wish to fight with is more experienced and/or has more items and spells then chances are you will get beaten by them. Please just be sensible and don't complain, god-mode, or power-play just because you're being a sore loser.

10. You cannot kill another player's character or pet without the owner's permission. People work too hard on their characters to get the gold to buy a pet to just have you kill it. ASK first. Disregard for this rule could result in a severe warning.

11. If you choose for two characters to have sex (this means oral too), please clearly state that at the beginning of the post in which the act starts, this way others who do not want to read it can't say they weren't warned. Members who do not do this will be warned.
