It was dark. Cloudy. Except, the clouds were mere centimeters from the ground. She was confused, the ground wasn't rocky anymore. But...she was positive that she had made camp on the Mushroom Rock Road, with that obnoxious boy. What was his name again? Her head pounded with a thick, numbing pain; and her body felt heavy. She couldn't think straight, where was she? What was happening? A primal sense of panic started creep up into her body, much like a wolf that was backed into a corner. Left with no options but to fight back. She couldn't see her hand in front of her face, the clouds in the air were so thick. Suddenly, she could make out a pair of eyes.... Silver eyes.... Then three sets of crimson red eyes appeared, all at different heights. All of their gazes locked on her.... She could feel her eyes narrowed in retaliation, but of what she wasn't sure yet. All she knew, was that she felt threatened. It was then that she noticed it...the similarity. The one thing they all had in common: their pupils. The pupils were all narrow, cat-like.... The terror, the dread, it seized her instantly. She couldn't move a muscle. She heard a sound...laughing? It grew louder, it was a male voice. A maniac, evil laughter. Then, three other voices, female, joined in. All just as taunting, just as maniacal. It was almost as if they knew something she didn't...that she was finished. She just hadn't realized it yet. A shiver shook her spine violently, and she raised her arms instinctively over her face, closing her eyes to protect them from the onslaught on negative energy, not that it would do any good. She had failed. She was done for. She let everyone down.... "Everyone." Said a male voice. "Everyone. You let everyone down. Just as you always have, just as you always will. You should have known better my dear-"

    "NO!"

Abagail's eyes snapped open and she shot into a sitting position, hand outstretched, seemingly clawing for something that was too far away. She was panting heavily. She felt feverish, sweaty. Her brown eyes darted around wildly. Her senses were instantly assaulted by the dusty, heavy air of the Mushroom Rock Road, and she knew. It had all been a nightmare, nothing more and nothing less. But still.... She was shaken. Sheer horror was a rare sight to behold in Abagail's eyes, but it was there now. She was only glad that that boy wasn't here to see it. She looked around, it was morning. A little ways into early morning. The fire set the night before, both for warmth and protection, was out now and she frowned. Abagail tore her gaze away, forcing her eyes shut and for her breathing to even out. The last thing she needed was for some fiend to smell her fear and come after her; although she knew that wasn't really going to happen. It happened to Kaya and Kira even less than it did Abagail, but even so. Fiends rarely ever attacked her head-on, and though she knew why she would never admit to it. Abagail still hadn't even let on to her powers yet to the boy who had, for whatever reason, stayed by her; not even to light the fire with the simpleton black magic she knew. Level one for sure, although her own powers far exceeded that which could be categorized by black magic. She was unique, just like each one of her sisters. Her sisters...the thought about the fire and magic made her remember her dream. Abagail rarely ever thought hard about anything, but Calvin was nothing to joke around about. Could that dream had been a warning? Was Calvin going to attack Kaya while Abagail was down? She couldn't think of why, Calvin was -- regrettably -- on a whole different level from Abagail. There was little she could do against him, even teamed up with Kaya.

A headache soon followed her thinking, and she groaned; her voice raspy and dry. From the air, as well as her outburst and how shaken she was. But the boy was gone, and she could find no supplies within and easy reach from where she was. And because of her leg, not to mention the position she had slept in last night, her muscles were far too stiff to move. And, she was fairly certain her one nearly broken leg and other legitimately broken leg wouldn't appreciate it. She leaned back on her arms and lifted her face, closing her eyes against the sunlight. It felt nice. Abagail had always preferred the warm sun to cold shadows, though you never would have guessed it from looking at her or her lifestyle. She practically lived her whole life in shadow, concealed. Hiding or hunting, one of the two. Both were best done in the shadow, only fools ran into the sunlight. Made themselves vulnerable. But -- Abagail didn't know if it was the fever or the pain -- she didn't care about all of that at this point. She was warm, her face was warm. She was in the sunlight, exposed, and she liked it. It made her feel alive. Although, it probably wasn't best for her to be feeling warm. She fought the fogginess in her already mushy brain, and knew from experience that if she opened her eyes she would be faced with having to fight off dizziness, and so she kept her eyes closed. She only opened them when she heard the faintest displacement of pebbles, it seemed her hearing was unaffected by some miracle.

Abagail opened her eyes and slowly turned her head in the direction of the sound, expecting to be blinded by the sun reflecting off of a white head of hair but instead she was faced with something of a very different nature. A jackal fiend. She didn't even think those existed in this area, but here it was. It was alone, but its scent was familiar. Abagail slowed her breathing and analyzed it, the scent was male. She met the animal's gaze evenly, for once her expression calm. Partly due to her fever, and partly because she new why this animal was here. Her scent had baffled it. After all, it wasn't like anything else he had probably ever smelled before, unless he encountered Kaya or Kira. Although, her scent was probably closer to Kagura's or Zakuro's. The jackal fiend and her stared at each other for what felt like ages, and suddenly she had the feeling that she was being watched by another set of eyes. These eyes were human though, she sensed nothing animalistic about them, and so she did not bother to look up. She participated in the staring contest to assert her dominance over this creature, which was especially crucial since she was practically defenseless. Finally, after a forever and a half of no movement, the fiend snorted, and slowly approached her. Abagail forced her muscles not to tighten, and calmly kept her gaze on his. She turned her neck slightly to watch as he stood behind her, confused for a moment when he just laid down. Then, she realized what he was doing. She had become his 'leader', at least for the moment. She allowed a small, true, rare smile to escape her before closing her eyes and letting her body lay down, resting her head comfortably on her new furry pillow. Although there still was still one set of eyes to contend with now.

"You gonna just stand there and watch the whole time or are you gonna move?" Her voice was snappy, but calmer with her feverish and exhausted state, her arms crossed limply across her waist.
