Hello All, Bro Chad has contacted me and mentioned he would like to get together. We talked about Gatlinburg, TN, around the 1st of the year. Its beautiful there that time of year, maybe we could rent a few cabins for cheap, as it slows down a lot then. I know its soon, but just wanted to throw it out there for you consideration. Let us know your thoughts...

Any occassion to gather and share is a GREAT opportunity! I have heard some good feedback from folks who have spent time in and around Gaitlinburg.
My wife and I are planning an 'extended family' gathering at a lodge in Southern Pa during the week between Christmas and New Years. With this planning already in the 'queue' we will not be able to committ to any other travel around the New Year.
......
Our interest in experiencing this lodge (Hemlock Hills in Bedford, Pa.)is partly to see how it might accommodate a cold weather location (near skiing and winter activity state parks) for a future Face-to-Face organic gathering.
Wouldn't it be great if in the near future House to House-ers have a variety of locations and times where different families are hosting/facilitating these kind of connecting gatherings that provide a venue for every joint to supply!

We would love to, had such a wonderful time in KY, and I just love TN, the problem for me is vacation time. I just burned up two weeks, and the week around the first of the year would be awful tough for me to get as someone else already has that week (there is only 4 of us) and Christmas is my holiday to work.
I like David's idea, and we discussed that some what prior to leaving KY. I'm open to future F2F encounters, and the more the merrier. But I also realize I can't always get the time off. But I'm open I can try and see. Blessings

As we learned in a big way in Kentucky, there will always be some who can make it, some who can't, and some who just won't or don't want to. So, we will always try to, and hope anyone who can, does...

dude, great attitude! :greenstars:
If more people were like you there would be more people who are content in whatever state they find themselves (and probably MORE fancy-smancy pecan and cranberry coffee cakes --quality eating with coffee OR tea!).
Next stop for the Chad-anew-Chew Choo Choo is Gatlinburg!
And if a special speaker is thrown into the mix.....who knows....maybe Rudy will throw a sleeping bag on the back of his chrome pony and head for the hills of Tennessee. Afterall, what is impossible for man is possible for God! :prayer:

Brother Lorne,
My wife has discovered that she needs to return to work on the 3rd of January. Let me do some more planning and I'll get back to you.
Thanks.
