Hullo, I'm Josh, and I wrote the concept and script for Age of Redemption. I also did the lettering after the images were made by Sparty tongue.gif I had a lot of fun doing that!

Well, not terribly long on introductions, welcome to our forum and enjoy the comic!

*bares chest as he speaks*

Oh, good lord... uh... AoR is about two years old. I'm having difficulty remembering that far...

Lemme think on that, seriously.

AoR is actually a prequel to a MUCH larger story I started way back when, about 5 years ago. The inspiration for AoR was a combination of the Ages world, some of the characters and ideas presented in that larger story (might talk about that later), and, to be honest... the Thief series by Eidos.

The base of my stories always tend to start out with something simple like that, but end up complicating themselves and molding themselves into real, dramatic scenarios. The rest is the border between creativity and insanity.

Is this topic, perchance, full of win?

Maybe it's me and my writery mind, but I can see an engrossing orgy of literary styles used in the comic. Kafka, modernism, stream of conscious, in some ways Samuel Beckett and Harold Pinter, poop-loads of fantasy peeps I won't bother rambling off. I like, though, how you manage to keep the whole thing your vision rather than some other hodgepodge of people you enjoy. It gives the story a lot of life. So myes.

Oh, and the art is nice too.

To tell the truth, I'm not a big reader, and have read scant little of any of the classics nor anything of the authors you mention. I don't really CREATE my writing... it's more like I remember them. I see the scenes play out as if it were some sort of memory.

The only reason I know anything about Franz Kafka or even his book, Metamorphosis is because I'm a dork for video game trivia. Kefka, from FFVI, had a theme called "Metamorphosis."
