At first, it was thought the couple would only plan on having one child. However it wasn’t long when they realized how lonely Ayden would become at times. As he grew older and began holding conversations with them, the Coopers realized that they wouldn't always been around to give him support. One day while lying on the floor of the living room Ayden set to drawing a picture, a family picture. Though the picture he drew was not just of the three of them; the picture consisted of four people, a mommy, a daddy, Ayden, and an unknown stick figure holding hands in the middle with them. When the loving parents questioned who the other person was, he simply smiled, pointed, and exclaimed “That is my baby bwother or seester far away, but they will be here soon!” Only about a year or so later, Ayden’s family drawing had come true to life; along with his exclamation. The soon to be four year old was given a sister, and he would adore and treasure her the minute she arrived, even if she was a girl! “I have a seester! She’s MY Seester.” Of course inept with time concept at four he would always be sure to remark that Ameila was his early birthday present. Ayden had always grown up thick as thieves with treasured little sister. As most kids with a brand new siblings would resent their parents and act out for the new intrusion in the family home, Ayden, to Anna and Daniel’s relief, acted the complete opposite. He would offer to do everything with Amelia. From wanting to hold her bottled to snuggling next to her for their afternoon nap. Ayden just couldn't wait to spend time with her once she was old enough to do the things he could do as a three almost four year-old. As time went on things seemed happy for the little family. Though there were also things that were also brewing in a very strange way. Ayden would often notice his parents puzzling over whether they had fed or changed is little Ameila. Some days doing things twice with his sister other days he would have to tug on their clothes for attention to tell them something was wrong with the baby girl. These strange happenings made his parents stress, thinking that they possibly were dropping the ball with their little girl and yet thankful Ayden doted on her so much.As time went on, things began to become a little stressful. Ayden found himself getting rather excited for his second grade year. Though still he also harbored a bit of sadness. Amelia was now ready to go to school. This meant that she would be able to do just about all the things he could. When Ayden first started going to school somedays he would throw a tempertantum not wanting to go unless Ameila could go to. For his first show and tell in Kindergarten the young boy had Anna bring Ameila to the school so he could show everyone he the best little sister in the world. But now she would be going to school with him. He wouldn’t have to leave his precious baby sister at home. He would be able to ride the bus with her and walk her home. Ayden could sense his little sister was a bit timid toward the idea of being separated, every day he would give her a big smile and squeeze her hand telling her it would be okay. He knew Ameila would believe him. She always had. Even the day he told her that the clouds were made of marsh mellow fluff she stared at him in awe and wonder as if it were written in stone. Occasionally, Ayden would peek in his sister’s class room only after using the excuse to go to the bathroom. Though it seemed like she was having fun and getting a long it still worried him. He knew how Amelia was, and that if people saw his little sister as he did, she would be alright.
