    There weren't many people who visited the hotels anymore, but while she was a slave on the run, Evangeline was determined to hide in a different hotel every night, almost as though she were hiding from the paparazzi. However, it wasn't the public media that the girl was running from. Certainly not. She would have preferred them over the hunters.

    Evangeline had escaped the clutches of her latest master the moment he bought her from the auction. One step out of the cabin, he tried to touch her the wrong way, and the girl made a run for it, shifting into a black panther in order to be released from her chains.

    The auctioneer failed to mention she could do that, and Evangeline had to laugh at that. Sometimes, the bad guys could be pretty fucking dumb.

    She went home to shift back into human, pulling on some clothes. She then went to retrieve her credit card and a bag of things she felt she might need, then headed out to The Marriott. She would get the cheapest room she could manage. However, as she entered the lobby of the nice hotel, Evangeline found herself feeling a tad anxious.

    Almost as if someone was watching her.
