where is home...?

Just a curiosity here but where do we originally hail from as obviously its never been stated due to the secretive nature of our legion but i had a idea, what if we came from Eskavan, where Alpharius fought Guilliman during the scouring, as it is stated that the alpha legion already had the lie of the land and were using guerilla tactics against the numerically superior ultramarines, and we never did leave the planet, forcing the smurfs back off the planet as we harrassed them all the way out of the system, just a suggestion

its a good theory i like it but i advise you keep it close to your chest so if its right it doesn't get out.

The natives were described as Nomadic low tech primatives.... now if we take at face value that Alpharius was first encountered leading a fleet of small ships against a luna wolves barge, then it is unlikely they had that kind of capability.

Heres a thought, what if our homeworld is still around and is actually a member of the imperium? Hiding in plain sight and all that. it would let us smuggle whatever we need off world, pretty much do whatever we feel like as long as we don't carve the star of chaos across a continent and feed indoctrinated troops into the IG and other armed forces.

I like Zakmun's idea of hiding in plain sight, the only thing for me is, surely the planet would have been "cleansed" post-heresy because of its special status as a traitor legion homeworld.

'Alpharius' never revealed his 'home planet' to anyone, so the Imperium would be unaware of its status; especially if the remaining AL forces worked to keep its location a secret....

Well, it sounds to me that the Legion fought just the same way they always do.* Anyway, the AL did leave after the Ultramarines retreated. It was after Eskrador that they scattered. When the Imperium returned to purge Eskrador, there was no trace of them.

Given the decentralised and widespread nature of the Legion, their homeworld would only be useful to warbands that'd operate near to it. I guess its value would be no different from any other planet that is influenced by the Legion.
