5+ inv on defilers sounds quite nice, although playing against one last week, a 25% cover save isn't so hard to come by with the massive machines any more....

I think with the battle brothers in the ally matrix that they can.

Hope that its wrong about cult Terminators and maybe dreadnoughts (I reckon a world eater dread should be a match for his death company counterpart)

I would also love to be able to choose a cult chaos lord, rather than simply giving one a mark, but an upgrade option that gives the character the special rules associated with the corresponding unit.

Im getting carried away, We've waited so long for a new codex so its hard not to get a little excited.

sorry about that you can field the next few as i will be traveling for wqork the next few days. Unfortunately it likes like Daemons are coming out next with a possible WD update in August and CSM may just be september At least that is how it looks like it is going to pan out right now.

the fact that the video that gamesworkshops website released today has the leftmost daemon from the center of the current codex (marker 0:21) seems to confirm this...so, october, then?

About the apparent lack of 'legion' rules, as I see a lot of people whining and complaining on other forums. Of course we are a bit better here and try and find solutions instead to our beloved legion...

Now, this is heavy speculations from my part, using the rumours as a basis for them.

It seems like the new marks offer a mix n' match setup possibility where you can tailor your squads after your legion, playstyle and needs. Need tough objective campers, give them +1T and FnP. Need assault marines, give them Rage and FC...

...and so on. Of course this is only how I picture it to work, and I'm guessing that it works in a similar way in all FOC slots...

...though it's just me guessing!

Also, it's almost completely confirmed now that the starter is next, making the CSM codex come at the earliest in october. After all, the sneak peek in the WD shows a chaos sorcerer getting owned by a DA sorcerer...
