Alpha Legion vs Ultramarines

Hey guys i recently (as in TODAY) had a battle with the Ultramarines.

I may have had to rebuild my army, but it still shows that i can still pwn a balanced army.

What i had:

Pedro Kantor
Librarian
2 tactical squads, flamer and lascannon, razorbacks with lascannons
3 sternguard units, drop pods, power fist, combi-melta
1 vanguard vet unit, thunder hammer
1 land speeder, multi melta

What HE had:

SM Commander

Terminators
1 Razorback
1 rhino
Land raider
3 tactical units
2 assault marine units
1 scout squad
Dreadnaught in drop pod

End of game result:
HE killed:
20 sternguard
5 tactical marines
land speeder
1 razorback
3 vanguard vets

I killed:
Everyone in his army except a rhino and the drop pod.

Thursday Night gaming!

Had 3 games, one which was a mega battle.

First Game was Me (Alphas) vs Black Templars.

Put simply it was meat grinder and came VERY close, but in the end....

ALPHA LEGION WIN #1! (Barely)

Second game was me (Alphas) vs Word Bearers.

Was a kill point game, and although he had a marine horde army and a tough lord, the outcome was pretty certain from turn 3 on....

Alpha LEGION WIN #2! (massacre)

Third Game was 5 Objectives and a mega battle. 3 players a side, 1500pts each. Alpha legion, Word Bearers and Blood Angels vs Crimson Fists, Imperial Guard Cadians, and Black Templars.

(was also cool because me and the CF player both had Pedro Kantor who faced off in the last turn! )

Since it was a marine horde, Word Bearers Faced opposite the Guardsmen,Both combat armies, A.K.A Blood angels opposite black templars and Alpha legion vs Crimson fists.

Result: DRAW! 3 objectives were contested and each side had one by the end. plus on the last turn both Pedro's had a Smack down to see who was the impostor. CF Pedro wounded once which was saved, and AL Pedro Wounded him twice and he went SPLAT!

Only two games tonight.

First i face imperial guard tank company with kill points.

Sadly they won, although i gave them a good beating.

Second i faced Dark Eldar in objectives and soundly beat them, holding 2 of the 3 objectives at the end with a third being contested.

First was a meat grinder against the emperors children legion.

Result: Alpha Legion Win!

Second was a kill points game against Dark Eldar.

Result: Narrow loss to the DE.

Have not been able to play as much recently, But i have squeezed in two games, the first with objectives against grey knights, managing to get a 1-1 draw.

The Second was kill points against Necrons, which turned out to be a surprising slaughter and win for me!

Recently had a four player battle, chaos deamons and necrons vs Alpha legion and necrons. (strange i know)

Not only did we pretty much obliterate most of the necron army from shooting in the first turn, But a highlight of the game was when my Chaos sorceror flew up and engaged a necron special character in combat, and then had to face his bodyguard who apparently teleports to his side instantly.

Was Hilarious! Took down the bodyguard, the lord did nothing, then the bodyguard got up only to be cut down again and the necron lord gets sliced open. neither got back up!

Second game was sadly a loss to the dark eldar, But i did wipe out all but 2 of his units.

There was a very funny moment for me, as on the last turn i had just one guy with a power fist left.

He then proceeds to get charged by a full unit of wyches, maxed out with equipment, and an archon with plenty of armor ignoring nastiness. (who had no unit)

Neither the wyches or the Archon managed to get a single wound on him!!!!
and in return he power fisted the archon into oblivion!!!!

Today Had a street fight at GW meaning everyone brought 3 unnamed characters each to duke it out.

I brought a maxed out chapter master called captain america, a maxed out wolf lord called thor, and a chaos sorceror of tzeentch called iron man =D i managed to own 3 necron overlords, even though all 3 had mindshackle scarabs (I HATE THOSE)

and then get owned by another 3 necron lords with the same stuff in the second round. sad i know.

and then on to regular gaming, where i faced an eldar saim hann army with objectives. sadly the eldar won with 1 objective to zero.....although one of my guys pulled off a rambo move by rushing forwards and chucking a krak grenade at a maxed out falcon, killing it. =D
