So, I've got a game of 40K next week against a buddy who's quite happy to have a relaxed and non competative game, and so I was thinking about what army to use, when I started thinking about these dudes I've got stuffed away in the garage:

They're organised to be a force of Apoc Lost and the Damned, but they're sort of shambling zombie mutant dudes, so I suddenly thought, would they work as a count-as necron army?

I would mostly take them as necron warriors, and then probably pick the rules that seemed to fit best with the other models.

What do you guys think; doable, or a stupid idea that smacks of bandwaggoning?
(I'm mostly thinking about just using some different rules for them, not really about having a counts-as army for the next best thing)

Worth a crack I suppose, but id say crons are too advanced... Orks might be ideal though.
