Advice Needed, What to do?

Hello all....

I have a dillema.

Some of you may or may not know (and knowing some of you lot i expect you knew before I did) that I have recently become a dad.
What you may not know, is that my little girl was quite poorly and needs physio for probably quite a long time, along with the assorted equipment and sensory toys we need.

As such I cant afford to keep up both fantasy and 40k, so Im going to have to mae a decision.

40k- I get to stay here with productive comments, I prefer the theme and look of the game as well, but complex to paint when away from home.

Fantasy- My tomb kings, would be easier to paint in the hotels when I work (which is when i get most of my painting done), also significantly less paints needed to be carted around, as well as being the game of choice for most people round here.

One of my armies is going to get sold.... I just need to decide which.

In the end, it depends what appeals to you more. The gaming aspect (which I assume you have little enough time for as is with work and now being a father!) or the painting and modeling aspect. Personally, I'd choose 40k, simply because just like you, I prefer the aesthetic and theme of it.

Always sucks when your kids are poorly, especially when they're very young I know when my son was 6 weeks old and being operated on, I don't think I've ever been so scared

I'd say hold on to both, if you can afford to; you may well want to revisit them in future. If you ditch the 40K stuff, you might want to revisit them if the rumored Codex:Chaos Legions perks your interest again..

But if you want a stark answer, I'd probably choose the army that'll give you the most gaming; if most of your opponents play fantasy, then keep the Tomb Kings for the total hobby experience...

Its nt that I wouldnt be able to get a game when I can play...
Its just the current flavour of the month.

Well im packing for hotel... I didnt even think twice about what to paint. I just grabbed my 40k...

Best of luck to you and your daughter Eetion, I hope she feels better. I have a lot of family and friends and I might not have been where your at personally but I do know to an extent how it feels. Just stay happy and positive which I'm sure your already doing. Personally, (since I've never played fantasy haha!) I would stick with 40k. Everyone I've spoken too keep their fantasy armies around as collectibles, but everywhere is different of course. Besides, if you got rid of the 40k stuff being on this forum would only make you want to go out and buy more as warp and aegis keep pumping out inspiring models

That's my very novice opinion anyway, cause I know warp and aegis' armies make me want to go out and spend money I don't have haha

Yeah. I probably will stick with 40 k since it would probably be a cheaper option too i would expect.
