So I have given in to the Dark Pointy ears side of new shiney syndrone! Behold one of my many new ongoing projects....Dark Eldar!

Thanks to the new Archon model....I gave the army some thought and jumped in with a 1500 point list. The Archon model looked great and grabbed one just to paint it up...but when the new Venom was annouced I was hooked...then the Razorwing sealed the deal...I am now a DE owner....

The models look great, so I worked up a list with all my infantry flying around in Venoms or riding something Fast....so here are the first pics of my ongoing project....I will post more as I finish them....

The Archone that started it all.....

Midnight Blue with Enchanted Blue for the highlights, I got my hands on a whole lot of it right now. I’m still thinking of a name for the army….Night Riders!? Maybe….Heh, reminds me of the Mad Max movie….

Nice color choices for the armor and tabards- they work really well together. This will be a cool thread to watch smile.gif

Now that's a chilling thought! (See Thumbnail!) laugh.gif

I'm afraid I can't be too complementary right at the moment, since I'm still brooding about loosing a game last night against DE because the DE player had to go after turn 3 and had used a cheeky reaver 36" turbo boost to contest just before that angry.gif

Hey ATF, nice to see you back once more thumbsup.gif

Nice DE. I like the purple metallics smile.gif

Question on the razorwing's base; did you glue the stem to the base before or after applying the sand?

I did both actually when it came to the flight stand. I glued enough of the sand on the base with the stem on there to make an outline of the stems base on it. Then I sealed the base once it was finished without the stem. Once that was done I went back and glued the stem to the base and finished by closing the outlined gap with more sand and watered down white glue to seal it, this way the base is good to go!

Ah, good idea; I glued my stormraven's stand to the base before I painted it, and made a bit of a pig's ear of the join! I'll try your method next time.... wink.gif
