OK, so here goes. Over the next few months, I should hopefully be repainting and updating my Blood Angel forces. As I have so shamefully admitted, almost all my BA forces have had paint slapped on them by someone else, to varying degrees of completeness. However, I fully plan to add/change/update every model to fit in with my army organisation and/or be painted up to my standards.

So, in this thread, you'll only get to see models that have had the full WW treatment; i.e. are finished by my consideration.

There aren't many at the moment. sleep.gif

This was the joint-first BA model I owned (the other being a Sgt which I think is currently armed with Bolter and Chainsword):

My 'bog-standard' Corbulo, except for a little GS work on the Chalace:

A BA Deathwatch Captain, (who sometimes doubles up as a veteran sgt for a team of veteran assault):

A converted Sanguinary Priest, with a narthecium made from Battlefleet Gothic parts (which are out of focus; sorry!)

And my only finished squad:

(Mounted on bikes bases before bike bases even existed! I was so miffed when GW released full cast bike bases! dry.gif )

They do have another squadmate to be added, but I need to convert his holstered bolter to a holstered melta.

And that's it sleep.gif

Still, hopefully, I can start to make progress in reasonable short order...

Printed sleep.gif Back in the day, you could buy printed banners in blisters...

The red is just several coats of thin Blood Red, then carefully shaded with a 50:50 mix of brown and red ink. But the shinyness is probably the Purity Seal.

I'm anxious to try out the Citadel Washes in furture shading though; easier to apply, and my ink stocks won't last the whole lot!

I've been cataloguing the workload ahead of me, but no time now to type it all in!

yeah i havent tryed them for shading yet. but from what i can tell so far they wont darken the colour as much as what the ink did.which is why i went and got a few pots of red ink before they all sold tongue.gif

OK so here's the challenge:

I want to now organise my BA into three sections: Two 'pick up and play' 1500 point armies, with maybe another two 500 pointblocks to add on to them (one each). The third section would be 'odds and sods' - mostly apoc extras, with the opportunity to swap out units once in a while with the two 'main' armies.

I have some ideas in this vein, but if anyone else wants a go at writing two armies, each with a different playing style, here is the complete list of what I have:

Main Section (Mostly needing ony a few extra painting bits)

Dante
Corbulo
Lemartes

Captain with Twin Lightning Claws and Jump Pack
DeathWatch Captain with Power Fist/Jump Pack (Can double as Sgt for Deathwatch Veteran Assault)
Terminator Captain with Thunder Hammer/Storm Shield
Terminator Captain with Storm Bolter, P.Fist, G. Launcher

Terminator Librarian
Chaplain with Jump Pack
Bike Commander (Could be converted to Librarian)

5 Scouts with Ccw/Bp, 4 Scout Snipers, 1 Scout Missile Launcher

12 Death Company with Jump Packs

Furioso Dread (Melta/Storm Bolter)
Dreadnaught (Lascannon/Assault Cannon and CCW/ML)
WIP Death Company Furioso (Melta and Flamer)

Squad of 5 Deathwatch Veteran Assault all with Bolters
Squad of 6 Veteran Assault with 2 Storm Bolters, P.Fist, Melta, Plasma Gun, Flamer (Illegal squad; pick two of three special weapons)

5 Twin Lightning Claw Terminators
2 Thunder Hammer/Storm Shield Terminators
2 Storm Bolter/P.Weapon Sergeant Terminators
2 Storm Bolter/Chainfist Terminators
3 Storm Bolter/P.Fist Terminators
1 Heavy Flamer/P.Fist Terminator
1 Assault Cannon/P.Fist Terminator
1 Storm Bolter/Cyclone ML Terminator

8 Honour Guard with Jump packs, consisting of: Sang. Priest, Flamer, 2 P.Weapons, Company Champion, Power Fist, Ccw/Bp
8 (Foot) Honour Guard with Ccw/Bp (Could be repainted to be Assault w/o Jump Packs)
2 (Foot) Honour Guard Standards
Sang. Priest
Techmarine/Veteran with Power Axe/Bionics

Tactical Marines: 26 Bolters, 3 Flamers, 1 Melta. 1 Plasma Gun, 2 Missile Launchers, (plus two with ccw/bp, but not sgts)
Tactical Sergeants: 2 Powerfists, 3 Ccw/Bp, 1 Power Weapon, 1 CCW/Bolter (!)

Termite (Counts as Drop Pod)
Rhino
Razor Back/Whirlwind (Interchangeable Turrets)

8 Man Jump Pack Assault Squad; Sgt with P.Fist, 2 Plasma Pistols
5 Man Jump Pack Assault Squad; Sgt with P.Fist, (2 with Melta Bombs!)
5 Man Jump Pack Assault Squad; Sgt with P.Weapon (Need repainting)

2 Landspeeders (No rail weapon attached, one with underslung assault cannon, one with heavy flamer – I think?)

4 Bikes (One with melt, one could be converted to have melta/flamer)
Multimelta Attack Bike

2 (3rd Edition Boxset) Tact marines; (suitable only for Devastator Squad ablative marines)

Landraider
Vindicator
Baal Predator with (theoretically) interchangeable Heavy Bolter/Heavy Flamer Sponsons

Aux Section (These mostly will need more work to them in painting.modelling stakes)

Mephiston

Captain with Bolter

Plastic Terminator Librarian

I Terminator with no arms.

Veteran with Bionic arm and chainsword.

BA Emperors Champion

3 Mk8 Errant Armour Marines (Unpainted)

1 gunked Techmarine with servo harness
2 Servitors (2 ccw, 2 hb)

6 Scouts with Ccw/Bp, 2 Scout Snipers, 1 Scout Heavy Bolter
Old Style Scout Sgt with Bp/CCW

1 Tact marine; needs repainting
1 gunked P.fist sgt

2 Assault: 2 ccw.bp, 1 melta, 1 p.fist (need repainting)

Rhino

Baal Predator with Heavy Flamer Sponsons

Predator with Lascannon Sponsons (Turret Weapon broken off)

Devestators: 4 ML, 3 HB, 2 L.Cannon, 1 P.Cannon, 1 spare body
Dev Sgt with Powerfist/flamer pistol
6 (3rd Edition Boxset) Tact marines; (suitable only for Devastator Squad ablative marines)
1 6 (3rd Edition Boxset) Tact marines with flamer

Anyone fancy wading through that lot to pull out a couple of lists?

Good luck on your project dude! BA are an interesting chapter, but not for me. I have chosen to work on Crimson Fist and Ravenwing myself. Although I have a few friends with BA armies, and I always like to see fully painted BA armies, they look great!

I know you've seen neither, but the though of my wider than usual dread conversion trying to squeeze through the rhino doors modelled on the termite made me laugh laugh.gif

Yes! Another one, slightly higher than the first with a path between them?

I think I'm a bit knackered (sick kids keeping me awake), but I didn't get that sad.gif

A path! A path!
Also, the second one might be simpler to make if following that recipe, just take a reasonably dread-sized piece of shrubbery, add legs and that's it laugh.gif
