So it has come to my attention that both me and Vengeance of Tartarus are natives of my beloved home city..... Sheffield.
So... Its challenge time.

Me and VoT have decided to start new armies with a view to slowly building our armies up.
There is a twist however.....

Were choosing each others armies.

We have each set a parameter,
I want something high points as im linited in painting time.
VoT doesnt want Eldar.

You will all be fortunate enough to see our armies grow, along with battle reports at a later date.

We require 1 HQ and 1 Troops by 1st of Dec

Vengeance you are to be graced withe the Holy Warriors of the Adeptus Soriatus... your army will be Witch Hunters.

I love the VoT's condition: No eldar.

Witch hunters should be fun for you Vengance, my g/f is currently playing them. Can't wait to hear how this all turns out.

I like the look of this. This promises to be very interesting. like what Xaigion said i like VoT's one condition: no Eldar, but that raises the question of whether that includes Dark Eldar?

sorry it took a while!

Eation: The whispers of tzeentch will guide your rubric marines in war... your army will be the Thousand Sons

Having never played SOB, Im looking for advice on what to get, then ill cross reference that with how badass the minis are, and make a decision.

The story behind this conflict is as follows...

The planet Chinchare, Scarus sector
An asteroid locked in a figure of eight orbit around a binary star. Once home to a creature of chaos formed from the coagulated bodies of pilgrims who had descended into the asteroid to worship a corrupted crystal structure known as the Lith. The creature was destroyed by inquisitor Eisenhorn.
since then a detachment of the Sisters of battle have ben stationed there, in their cathedral fortress.
the PDF think they are there to keep the area free of further taint, however they protect a dark secret.
the Lith could not be truly destroyed, nor even shifted from the ground by any means, the Adeptus Soriatus have, under their cathedral, this tainted artefact.

The Crystal is calling out into the warp for something, with a psychic signature so faint it is hardly noticable. none the less the Sisters have prepared for war.

(eation, if you want to add a paragraph about your end of the story go ahead)

hmm what shall I have as a signature?

If it wouldn't cost me a grand to get there I'd totally show up. I can provide a little bit of help on the WH army Vengeance, heavy on the little.

i think the bulk of any SoB army is sisters in rhino's. i think also going by your story you may want an inquisitor in there too? seraphim are good, they have melta pistols and jump packs and also those organ tanks.....sorry i just woke up and forgot the name biggrin.gif

love the story by the way (huge eisenhorn fan thumbsup.gif )

That would be Exorcists, and only I always found hand flamers cool.

But ArcoFlaggellants are one of the premier hand to hand troop in the game in my humble opinion.

also...

Deep in the Warp, beyond the tides and eddies and beyond the shipping lanes of the Imperium in that wracked region of space known as the Eye of Terror, a Planet of Sorcerors, covered in silver towers, topped with astrologers that looked at the stars and pulled at the concious and the hearts of men, towers writhing in unnatural blue flame.
It was deep within the vaults oof one of these Towers that a man sat alone deep in meditation, reaching out with his mind probing the strands of fate and the minds of lesser men.
Seth'menes eyes flicked open....
"Iv found it..."

OK so heres the plan as far as painting is concerned:

The armour will be a dark grey to give it a more ceramic or plasteel look as apposed to metallic
The trim and details will be gold
the cloth will be dark red
soft armour, weapon, backpack exhausts etc will be black

thoughts? obviously a test figure would be better in order to describe it, but i havnt as of yet got anything
