I was thinking of using abbadon as a center peice for my army, Alpha legion. : mark :. obviously I would give him a new name and resonable background

I think Abaddon is a great unique character. Strong and I never saw one character take out so many squads in one game. Used him all the time when I was running Black Legion.
Are you going to create a character and use it as a count as? or are you going to just have Abaddon working w/ Alpha Legion?
And may I suggest something, I currently use a Terminator Lord w/ a DW and don't take a mark. The stats are a little less but I think it ended up 135 pts cheaper. You still get the twin linked bolter, and instead of the max attacks being 10, you end up w/ the max attacks being 9 but it still counts as a power weapon.
Just something to consider. I use it and still have the complimentary meat shield and I haven't had any problems running it and can even afford a couple other niceties. Either way I think it's a good choice. Happy gaming! : mark :

How about, instead of Abaddon... Deltarius, member of the Effrit Stealth Squad. and instead of talon of horus, a deamon weapon with equal power of the deamon weapon of Abaddon .Instead of Abaddons deamon weapon... Sword of Sanginius. Please inform me if there are any faults

Whenever I field my Abaddon model, I always say that the AL commander has surgcally altered himself to look like Abaddon as so to confuse and misdirect the enemy ;)

should i keep the trophy racks and should i cut off the hair due to everyone in the legion trying to look like Alpharius. I just got told that he couldn't have the sword of sanginious cause it's on baal so that leads rise to the question, is there any primarch weapon he could have?

Make one up for Alpharius. There are 2 primarchs so probably a fair selection to choose from.

This thread just made me pretty happy. I was thinking about buying the Abaddon model and changing it visually to name him Alpharius (for we are all Alpharius, are we not, brothers?). I've never wanted to play any other than Legion, but the pull of that big model and his neat rules have tempted me so. I'm glad I found this forum, for this and many other reasons. Thanks!
