Chubu - Once a land inhabited by Pokemon alone. Here pokemon thrived and slowly grew more and more intellegent. Undisturbed by humans for thousands of years, nature began to fill the niche that Humans had once took. Pokemon began to take on human attributes, such as walking upright and speaking to one another. Eventually a pokemon league developed, though it was not quite like the Elite 4 as we know it today. These few intelligent pokemon where able to tame and control other pokemon, becoming trainers in their own right. They loved to battle with each other, each testing their limits and seeing who could be the best. The leader of these Pokemon was Alakazam, renowned as perhaps the most intelligent creature in existence.

Yet, just as the Pokemon where beginning to prosper, Humans found the lands and began to populate it. Humans disbanded the "Elite four" of the time, replacing themselves as the champions. The pokemon where horrified, sudden;y becoming outcasts in their own land.

However, in these strange lands, humans began to realize the errors of their ways, and allowed the Pokemon to become gym leaders.

Now, many years have past, and the descendants of these pokemon still own the gyms. Yet still the old Alakazam who had began all of this remains leader of the Final Gym, longing for a chance to become part of the Elite 4 again, plotting quietly the pokemon's revenge...

But new dangers have arisen

Dangers that could very well change the face of Chubu, if not the whole pokemon world. From the heavens a strange virus called "Dexoys" has began to spread like wildfire across the lands. From the calm lakes and gentle rolling fields to the harsh deserts and across the sea to claim even the ice covered peaks and the peaceful medows. So easily was the virus spread across the backs of Rattata's and on the Wings of pidgeys, it has slowly affected each and every region in the landscape. For many pokemon, it means death. For some, it means a forced evolution. Only those immune to the virus are safe.

Yet humans wait in fear for the virus to mutate and affect them. The epidemic grows worse and worse every day, even though cures are being developed in laboratories.

The story isn't over...

Awakened from a billion year slumber, the great pokemon deity, Arceus, has awakened. Yet even he is not strong enough to stop the mysterious virus. He turned to Giratina for help, but was rejected so severely that a war broke out between the two great pokemon. And so now, the two pokemon rage their war across Chubu, and in the wake of their destruction humans watch with awe. Totally unable to do anything but wait and see the fate of the world as the two gods war.

Where will you fit into all of this? Will you ignore the virus and with warring gods, instead carrying on the age old tradition of trying to "be the best" and defeat the pokemon champion, Shogo Niida? Will you become one of the gods themselves, such as Rayquaza or Palkia and try to calm the two great beasts? Or will you be a gym leader, taking on the role of defeating opposing trainers?

The world is totally open to you and your choices. What will you become?
