~ at the cafe
"Wow...You've changed so much." he murmured with an empty stare. He rested his head in his right hand, his armed propped up on the cafe table. A waitress came up to them, ready to take their order. "I'll pay...so go ahead and get whatever you'd like." Van suggested. He looked into her eyes with that small smirk he'd always used to give her.

"I'll have a mocha latte with an everything bagel." The waitress walked off with their orders. (bleh cough she has a nice rump cough)
"I should be asking you the same...what brings a vamp like you to these parts? Times have changed, Faith." he winked "And business is good." He chuckled.

"I would say..the way you up and left like that..." he paused for a second, breaking eye contact. The waitress came with their orders and set them on the table. Van had suddenly lost most of his appetite, but tried to scarf down what he could of the everything bagel- then glared at Faith. "Sooooo...." he was trying to think of anything to start back the conversation.

Van was unamused. He slouched down on the couch. He couldn't help but trace it's complex pattern with the tip of his right index finger. "Sorry that your first time was with a scum..." he replied with another empty tone.

"Crude..really? Maybe, I'm just trying to consider your feelings" He said in an empty tone, yet again. Even if Van wasn't trying to be mean intentionally, he found amusement in playing with her emotions.
