Samuel watched Mjor leave the room wondering if she heard anything he had said. With a shake of his head he sought out Syrith, "things are falling apart!" he sighed, "nobody wants to cooperate - especially you mother. Syrith laughed, "the plans of men and wyrms! They look so fine on paper, but, real life reveals all the faults in a grand way, I know. As for my mother - she is her own wyrm and always has been."

Samuel just gave her a flat stare, he was not in any mode for this either, but, then again, Syrith will be Syrith.

"I just came to tell you, I am doing this off-the-cuff and you might be doing some improvising before the day is through."

"I gathered that. You need to stop running and trust in your own abilities, just like mother."

As Syrith turned to leave, she commented over her shoulder, "and, yes, I have been spying on you."

Samuel watched as she left. He shook his head as he left after and mused I sure can pick them, the Ilandra, Kalib, Faoni, and now Mjor, Zeea and Syrith. I must have a masochistic streak in me.

Samuel went out to the Sacred lands and conferred with several of Zenkii leaders and Dark-yn. Returning to the festival, he sought out Mjor, finding her being dragged along by Yssera. Catching up to them he remarked, "is this something I need to be part of, or do you two want me to - get lost?"

"No males." Yssera said simply and shoved Mjor along. She gave him a helpless look. "I'll try to get away as soon as possible." She managed to say before Yssera shoved her into a building and shut the door.

Samuel was surprised by her look, the concepts of 'Mjor' and 'helpless' just did no go together. He slowed down, "take you ... time ... ", as the door closed in his face, "I will be around here, somewhere."

He sighed as he looked over the building. Turning he headed back into the hubbub of the festival, looking at the different stalls and sampled some of the different cuisine on display.

One stall was displaying an assortment of jewelry, from the simple to the elegant. One piece caught his eye. A woven gold and silver banded necklace, with an oval dark blue stone encased in a gold mount. Intricately carved in the stone was an relief if Yarez and Dark-yn intertwined in an embrace. He examined it closely, admiring the exquisite detail. Holding it up to the light, he saw the blue-white fire deep in the stone revealing it as a Nightstone, a rare gem from the homelands. Encircling the image were the words, gold filled, 'The one I love' written in Tyalic. After a heated and lively barter with the shop owner, he laid down the gold, a king's ransom, and received a ornate wooden box with the necklace, which he hidden inside his clothes.

He resumed his trek through the festival grounds with his entourage of guardsmen in tow, as well as, a troop of Zenkii warriors, hiding in the shadows. Although he looked calm, he was ever alert for Terrorgas' next attack.

"Enjoying yourself, Samuel?" Zeea purred, slipping in stride with him, startling the guards. "I apologize, I had to hurry to catch up." She turned back to Samuel and leaned close to whisper. "It's dangerous for you to be wandering around with out Mjor, me, or mother nearby."

Samuel was a bit startled by Zeea's sudden appearance.

"Actually, I am, for a change. I am glad you decided to join us." He whispered back, "I know, but that is the problem with bait, it has to be out in the open to do any good." He resumed his banter as he seemingly wandered aimlessly around the grounds, "How has you day been so far, I mean, after the incident with Aiedai."

"Oh that... I had to give her a bit of a slap to get her to back of. Quazis is actually looking for me, most likely. He's pretty pissed and so is she." She said in a quiet voice. "To be honest, my young aren't going to be stupid enough to attack you when you're obviously trying to bait them. Give them some credit."

Samuel smiled at her, "I bet they are." He continued to listen and watch.

"Then, I do not have anything to worry about, for now." Actually he had a lot to worry about, this would be the best time for them to attack. He was casually looking around when her words struck home.

"Your young?! you mean, your are their mother? How many of them are there?"

This took him by surprise he had expected another, possibly the Oracle herself to be Terrorogas' breed stock, but a Wyrm and one as powerful as Mjor, put a different light on the subject.
