AFTER THE TUDORS;
|
|
After The Tudors is an AU site, but uses history as a guide, and takes aspects from the Tudors TV series, as well as the Elizabeth movies. It's up to you, the members, to decide the outcome of the site. Will the Catholic Mary remain queen, or will she be triumphed by the Protestant Elizabeth?
As of now, Edward is dead, and in his place sits his devoutly Catholic sister, Mary. For months Mary has been hiding behind closed doors, in fear of the public she now has to rule, the majority of which are Protestant. Never imagining she would live to sit on the throne, the new queen not only has to deal with her people, but the secretaries who once worked so diligently for her brother. Between her citizens, and her council, returning to the old ways, and forging the bonds that were once broken with the Sea of Rome, will not be easy for the eldest Tudor, but she is determined to try.

For those who know me from Saga, don't bother reading on, for those who don't, feel free to listen to an extremely annoyed Irish girl complain: This isn't necessarily a note of absence, but more a reason for why it will take me some time to reply to those waiting on posts from me. I have a very hectic college schedule this year. I graduated uni a couple of weeks back, and started at a new college recently, where the schedule is a lot more demanding (odd, considering the previous one was a university, but I actually get homework now), that means 9am starts, and 4pm finishes every day, which isn't much for a lot of people, but considering I suffer with anaemia it is rather tiring for me as I don't have as much energy as some people do. On top of that, I work two jobs, neither of which pay money at all being voluntary work, but in order to study my Master's degree next year, I need the work experience both establishments offer. The weekend is the only real time I have to post, so my apologies to those waiting on me during the week. This weekend will probably be an exception though, as I've also been hit with two hurdles this week, being screwed over by Social Welfare, not to mention our family dog (which we just happened to own for about eight years) was stolen. On a much more minor note, my old lappy also decided it didn't quite like starting up anymore, and so proceeded to shut down every time I got to the stage of entering my desktop password. I have a new one at the moment, which isn't much different, but the keyboard layout is throwing me for a loop at the moment so 'typing' is taking some getting used to. I'm really sorry for the long, unnecessary whinge, normally I avoid whining in such detail on an absence notice, but I kinda needed to get it all out to make myself feel better... and it sorta worked So ya, long story short, will probably only be able to post during the weekends

Just to let ye all know I'm back at college again, and so my hectic schedule has returned (oh midterm, how I miss you ). The tune pretty much remains the same, though I will try my best to get posts done during the week, considering I spent my entire mid term catching up with threads that I couldn't reply to during the school term, but I will ask for those posting with me to please be patient. If I'm taking a while to respond, it's because I'm super tired, and can't right now. I'm still juggling two jobs as well, and it seems I'll have mass quantities of assignments before Christmas half term comes (believe me, I'm counting down the days). Sooo yaaa, patience is a virtue, and I will reply to all of those I owe posts to as soon as is possible for me. My apologies for the inconvenience

Welcome to After The Tudors. We are an AU site which uses history as a guide, and takes aspects from the Tudors TV series, and the Elizabeth movies, but other than that, we are 100% AU. It really is up to you, the members, to decide what direction your characters and, ultimately, this site goes in.
It is currently March in 1552. There are currently Ten Females and Nine Males, and no character bans.
