Practically every Sunday there's traffic congestion along the stretch of St. Matthias Road in front of the church.
The main cause is obvious (at least to me) - The period of time between the end of the 7:00 AM Service and the start of the 8:45 AM Service is often too short. As a matter of fact, there have even been a few occassions when the first service ended after 8:45 AM! This causes congestion not only on the road but also at the church's entrance. A 9:00 AM start to the second service should alleviate this problem. Also, many people are not aware that that section of road is one way (towards the junction with Highway 7) on Sunday mornings. Clearly, NO ENTRY signs need to be placed at that junction (with a note stating "On Sundays 6:30 AM - 11:30 AM" or whatever the actual time period is). |
