Did you miss the latest forecast for Barbados? When bad weather is approaching and getting through to the weather hotline becomes almost impossible, this is the site to go to! http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/text/MIATWOAT.shtml?text This lets you know if the National Hurricane Centre is expecting any cyclones (tropical depressions, tropical storms or hurricanes) to form within the next 24 hours. http://stormcarib.com/goes.htm Excellent site for satellite imagery (both static and animated). You can zoom in on any island too! http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/index.shtml?text Get the latest information on any active cyclones. http://stormcarib.com/index.htm#disc Reports from our neighbours in the Caribbean. (When Ivan struck Grenada, this link became invaluable.) http://weather.noaa.gov/weather/current/TBPB.html How has the weather at Grantley Adams International Airport been over the last 24 hours? (particularly useful for monitoring barometric pressure changes on the approach of cyclones) Other links will be added in due course. |
