History: The only son and sole heir of the Christie name and estate, Harry grew up in a stable and privileged household. He spent the first years of his life being spoiled in the family homes in Exeter and Scotland, then, in the Christie tradition, went on to Ravenclaw. At Hogwarts, he was a conscientious, popular student and house prefect. He excelled at detail-oriented and fact-based disciplines like Runes and Potions, and his cautious nature made him work hard in DADA. He also took an early interest in Muggle Studies-- a surprising passion considering his somewhat secluded pureblood upbringing.
Upon graduation, Harry moved permanently to the family estate in Scotland, which had been underused by the dwindling family in recent years. He enjoyed the detailed task of restoring it, but his happiness was short-lived; his parents died in a magical accident when he was 19. Stunned and grieving, he left behind the lonely house in Scotland and applied for a job at the Ministry of Magic to fill his time. His easygoing personality, impeccable appearance, and knowledge of the Muggle world made him an ideal fit for the Muggle Relations Department, where he quickly rose to the top position. He now spends most of his time acting as a liaison between the Ministry and high-ranking Muggle politicians, focusing particularly on economic relations. He relies heavily on his long-suffering secretary, Susan, to remind him that it's okay to leave his office and have a life sometimes.
Incredibly devoted to his work and without a proper pureblood mum to nag him, Harry neglected the task of getting married until he was 42, when he met a persistent young Welsh witch named Eres Trewent. More accurately, Eres saw his picture in the Prophet, did some research, and decided they were going to get married. Luckily Harry seemed to agree and Susan reminded him to buy an engagement ring after a few months. Harry and Eres have one son, Jasper, who they dote on to excess and worry about constantly. They live in the posh London district of Belgravia so that Harry has somewhere suitable to entertain the countless Muggle politicians he charms on the Ministry's behalf.
Personality: Intelligent, serious, and absurdly charming, Harry is the ideal diplomat. He's assertive without being pushy, and an excellent, cautious planner. However, his biggest fault might also be caution. After the loss of his parents he became much less adventurous and constantly warned Jasper about being careful with magic. Though he interacts brilliantly with others, he is most happy with a quiet room and a stack of the latest international newspapers. He's sometimes absent-minded about personal matters and focuses intensely on the task at hand (which is usually work). What people remember most about Harry after their first encounter are his aristocratic manners, especially toward women, and how well-spoken he is.
Appearance: Often suspected of being a minor deity in Greece, Harry might best be described as "shiny." Slightly above average height, blond (but rather grey these days), and blue-eyed, Harry exudes an Old-Hollywood charm accentuated by his preference for well-tailored suits (something he passed on to his son). He also passed on a very bright smile to Jasper, though they don't look especially similar otherwise. (Jasper is slightly envious of his father's more traditionally handsome appearance). A relatively peaceful, healthy life keeps Harry looking far younger than his age, though he's developed some fairly deep wrinkles at the corners of his eyes and mouth.
