History:
Arista was born to a half-blood Scottish mother and a pureblood Greek father. Luka, her father, chose Hogwarts after moving there to live with his uncle. Arista was the first of three children, all with some combination of Scottish and Greek names. She grew up like any normal British child would, though she ended up with an interesting accent based on Greek and Scottish. She read as much and as widely as she could. In her family, nothing was banned to her. She read wizarding classics and Muggle classics, reading, as her mother said, anything she could get her hands on. She wrote little stories and ditties, which always seemed to occupy her time. She was an indoors person and preferred spending time with her family inside than out in the sun.

When Arista, or Ari as her family called her, turned eleven, she was invited to attend Hogwarts and a Greek school her father had been invited to. She ended up at Hogwarts, in the house of Ravenclaw which wasn’t a surprise based on her love of knowledge.

She had a wonderful time at Hogwarts, soaking up information. She found friends who enjoyed her company and during breaks she would spend time with them and or her parents in Greece, Scotland or other places from which she knew people. The friends she did have were close knit so when she left Hogwarts with five NEWTS, she felt a bit scattered. All of her friends had left for jobs in their home area and Ari was left in London.

Once back in London after graduating she got a job at the Ministry of Magic, as an intern for the Minister of Magic. She worked her way up slowly, but shortly after her twenty-fourth birthday, she became the “speech writer” for the Minister of Magic. She wrote the announcements and little notices he put out, along with other things that needed writing like inter-departmental memos.

Personality:
Arista, Ari, lives her life with contradictions. She loves her work and the pursuit of knowledge and works furiously towards whatever is set before her. However, she is sometimes seen as passive. She’s reserved around those who don’t know her, preferring to keep personal details to herself. It comes from not interacting with people more than she has to, and a family who didn’t push her to be extremely social.

However, Ari loves who she is. She is looking for love and knows that she will find it eventually. Ari is stubborn though, so finding the right person could be difficult. She stands up for what she wants and what she believes in and never wants to back down.

Appearance:
Arista has long black hair with a slight curl to the ends. Deep brown eyes add to a slightly doe-eye look. She’s tall and thin, taking after her mother. She prefers to wear suits when working but when she isn’t, jeans, t-shirts and either clogs or sandals are her shoes of choice. She stands with the poise of a dancer and sits that way too. Her long fingers are often wrapped around a quill, writing as quickly as she can. Ari wears simple jewelry and enjoys buying new accessories to make her appearance different.
