I kind of picked Ludo's department at random, but now I start to see the potential. Besides the inspections of the shops and the international aspect of his job he also deals with smuggling right!

So I was thinking of doing a thread where he gets an anonymous tip, are there any other kind wink.gif so he goes on a stake out. This could be a small thread or a very large plot. I'll give you the two scenarios I have in mind.

small plot:
Ludo goes on a stake out alone, on the way or while staking out the place he meets someone familiar and he asks them if the want to keep him company because he thinks this tip was bogus. Then the criminal comes along but doesn't do anything illegal so the stake out ends. (sounds pretty boring but that's kind of the point, leaves more room for conversation)

this would need 3 characters.

big plot:
Ludo goes on stake out with a colleague or a friend, they encounter one or more criminals importing illegal goods. Ludo calls in the cavalry i.e. the hit wizards/witches or aurors.

this could run up to 5 or 6 characters.

Tell me what you guys think, I'm still new so I don't know how or even if you do 6 character threads and stuff.

It's just something that popped in my head.

Wendell is always up for smuggling stuff. Plus...your current criminal options are pretty much limited to either him or Patrick Everard. However, I must request that he escape in the end, he's got too much to do to be locked up by Ivy again.

well I thought wendell would be up for it.

And I understand we can't arrest him. So we can play it two ways, we arrest him and find out he's not doing anything illegal, so he's been tipped off and it's embarrassing for the ministry. Or we do find him doing something illegal but he can escape before we can arrest him.

I like the first way better. It can stir things up at the ministry, you know the press makes a big thing about it, the minister is pissed, everybody's looking for someone to blame, who tipped of wendell. This could be a good, stressful and active short plot. If we find enough people willing to play XD

Oh and carmen, Ivy and Ludo can still get drinks afterwards, you know, get rid of their frustration that the criminals got away.

Patrick Everard is always up for stuff too! Besides, it might do him good to be caught and held for a little while, or at least be seriously threatened with arrest, haha.

I also have to say that while making the Ministry look bad is always fun...I would kinda prefer you didn't. Playing the Minister is kind of rough with everyone hating on him, and since it's hard enough to "get things done" and solve the country's problems in an RP I gotta say that I would appreciate it if we didn't make it any harder on poor Will.

This sounds fun! Is it still going on?

Felix is a criminal very likely to be involved in something very boring. I'm open to arrests or not arrests.

Bert (Ludo) is out of town for a few days, but it should get started after that!

Spiv--don't worry, Ivy's got Will's back. wink.gif

Since Ivy and Wendell are working together to fight the terrorists, it can be arranged that she has to let Wendell go, but she could catch other people if there are more involved. That way it can be more about the press/Carmen trying to make the minister look bad than it really being a problem at the ministry.

If you're willing, Mab, Felix could be caught. Initiation into the ranks and all that. tongue.gif

So willing. smile.gif

I suppose I'll just need some background on some crime stuff. Who he'd be working for (or not working for). Depending on what others want this thread to be, and Felix isn't necessary doing anything illegal, he's got a record and he's impolite with Aurors. He'd give them a reason even if there wasn't a reason.

Suppose that they are all contracted to smuggle in something by a wealthy anonymous individual (?) I'm not sure if we actually have any boss types around AG right now besides the terrorists. And I feel like this would be seperate from that. We need some good, old-fashioned crime that isn't terrorism.

Not sure if they've all worked together before or not. When they get caught in Ludo's spy trap I imagine it's probably every man for himself - Ivy being forced to let Wendell go b/c of the terrorist thing would be hilarious, she would be sooo angry! But yeah some of them could get away or be caught depending on what each person wants.

Samuel Quincy can serve as our shadowy boss figure until we get another Russian crime boss, haha. He can arrange for Wendell and/or Patrick to pick something up from some NPCs and deliver it to some other NPCs--or Felix? I feel like Samuel would probably take Felix under his wing. He tends to collect people. Would you be down for that, Mab?

PS Hello, I'm Spiv and I play 234789 characters! biggrin.gif
