Shield: An orange dancette cheif ordinary above an arrow that lays diagonally and pases through an annulet. On the annulet hangs a hawk bell.

•Barter: The ability to make the customer feel like they're getting a bargain while still getting the price one wants.

•Selling Ways: Tide can sell anything. Even a rock. She has the ability to present her wares in an extremely positive and convincing light.

•Money Matters: Tide can spot counterfeit money a mile away. And don't get her started on budgeting or finances...

Physical Appearance: Tide has a squarish face with a strong jaw line and a slightly crooked nose. A long scar runs from just under her left eye diagonally till it reaches the underside of her lip on the right side of her chin. She has compelling grey-blue eyes, and a slight tan. Her straight red-brown/auburn hair is cut short so that it hangs just below her ears. As such it is often scruffy and unruly.

Tide's manner of dress and build give her the general appearance of a boy. Being taller then Deref she is often mistaken as her older brother or husband. This arrangement works out fine as Tide is the dominant of the pair.

Personality and Personal History:

Rising Tide was so named because of her hot temper. Only Deref knows it, but Tide is a berserker. Her anger is slow to kindle, but once it gets to the boiling point, Tide becomes an unstoppable fighter.

When she is not angry, Tide is a force to be reckoned with. Posessing an iron will and the undying determination of a bereft mother she often gets her way. When she doesn't...well she finds a way to get what she wants anyway.

Tide has to the best. In everything. If she thinks you're better she will try and out do you just to prove you're not. Of course, there have been times when she has had to grudgingly admit that she isn't better. But she never admits that without a fight.

She has an affinity for men, feeling that she relates to them very well and enjoys their company more then the company of other women. The only exception would be Deref, whose company she relishes. This state of affairs is worrisome to Deref as she hates men, and dislikes being in their company.

Deref never complains, but Tide can be a bit overbearing at times. Still the two get along capitally. If Deref wanted to she could change everything in an instant. Tide is devoted to her Sister, so Deref is the only one who could tame her. Deref has even stopped Tide from killing people in the midst of her berserker rage.

Tide became Deref's sister when Deref saved her life after a bear mauling. THe Animal had been sevrely injured and then unleashed upon Tide, who was supposed to fight it off. Tide had begun well, but the bear had nearly gutted her in one stroke, and would have finished her had she not cut off it's arm.

The bear, frightened of further injury rushed off, leaving Tide to die.

Tide pulled herself along to sit up against a tree where she fainted. When she Awoke Deref was leaning over her stroking her forehead and muttering soothing words. Overcome with relief and grateful for the second chance, Tide made Deref her sword sister on the spot. The pair have never divulged the secret of how they became Sisters.
