The Village?

The village... what's it like? It's been described physically (treehouses and stuff), but what's the society supposed to be like? For example - rules, jobs, trading, respect, how people get their training, etc. Or is it just "Let's all try not to die," and everyone contributes how they can? O:

Alright, let's see if I can explain a little of this stuff for you. Good question, by the way. ^^

It's basically everyone living together helping each other live. There are jobs for people to do, like carpentry or leather work or medicine, but they don't get "paid" persay for what they do. It's more like bartering and trading, like if something needs to be done here the person who specializes in that can completely the tast and the person they completed the task for can repay them by either giving them something of theirs for their work or by doing something for them in return.

Sorry if that's a little confusing; I don't feel like rereading what I've written.

I think, with the explanation I gave, it's sort of a mix of what you said.

There aren't that many rules, other than the givens like no stealing or no killing and that sort of thing, but that's because they don't really have an authority figure for the village. It's still relatively new, the whole establishment, and I'm planning later, once we have a whole bunch more villagers considering how low their numbers are now, to have a meeting between then and sort of appoint a council or something like it. Everin will probably be on it, given her age and knowledge, and I'm hoping we'll get a few more olderish characters in to help take up responsibility for the place - the village I mean.

So there's a lot that still needs to be decided about the place, but it can't happen until we get more villagers.
