Human Description: Emmeline is about five foot four, with a pretty skinny look to her. The fact that she’s not very curvy for thirteen years of age only furthers that appearance. However, her face has not conformed to the rest of her, and while not looking really /chubby/, her face has rounded out a bit. Her large enough eyes have not matched the usual Asian stereotype, but her nose is a tiny, flat little thing. Her lips are full, but often peeling or scabbed. Her legs are pretty long, and have become lean and muscled from running in her animal form so much. Her arms have followed suit; however, she is still on the weaker side.

Her straight hair is dark brown – in bad light or from a distance, it looks black, but from close up or in bright light, it resembles chocolate in color. Parted in a straight line that’s slightly off-center on her head, it goes a couple inches past her shoulders, and the ends are unevenly cut. Her eyes are similar to her hair – ranging from black to brown, depending on the light. Her skin tone is middling - being Asian, Emmeline’s skin is naturally a little tanned. However, she doesn’t spend as much time in the sun as others, so her skin could certainly reach deeper tones. Her legs are marked with dark spots from old scabs she couldn’t leave alone. On her face, a few small dark moles are apparent, plus a bit of red mottling from skin problems.

Emmeline likes simple clothes, with little regard for how they look. She wears loose, undyed animal skin pants, and a brown cloth shirt. Although she loves pretty little things, she doesn’t wear any sort of jewelry.

Animal Description: Emmeline’s animal form is the adaptable coyote. About two feet high, four feet long, and weighing in at less than thirty pounds, she doesn’t look much more impressive than her human form. Still lightly built, with thin (but powerful) legs, it’s clear how she can speed after her prey.

She’s mostly a sandy light reddish brown, but her belly, the insides of her legs, her chest, her throat, and the tip of her muzzle are white. Her face, shoulders, sides, back, and tail have gray and black mixed into the brown, and her tail is tipped with black. Her eyes are light gold, and seem to have a sort of careful suspicion.

A big reason why Emmeline prefers her coyote form is the senses she attains after shifting. Her hearing and sense of smell are considerably higher than her human form's, and the small things she'd normally pass over stand out. Although she's smaller as a coyote, she always feels more prepared, as she can usually tell when someone's approaching, and employ the use of her new fangs and claws. Being able to hit 40 mph doesn't hurt either.

Personality: Emmeline is an odd mix of shyness and exuberance. When whatever’s happening doesn’t interest her, she’ll usually remain quiet – not out of shyness, but out of the belief that it’s not necessary to say anything. She's unlikely to approach people she doesn't know, as she assumes her presence will just annoy them. When she’s with her own friends, she feels considerably more comfortable, and will joke around freely. She values her friends highly, but is often worried that they might not like her as much as they claim. Soft-hearted, she tries to take neutral positions when she can, and will help others when possible. However, she still retains the notion that what she's doing might not be wanted.

Not all that nervous around the opposite gender, she doesn’t have the same apprehension with boys, and finds it easy to talk with them. Easily intimidated, though, even she will avoid any who seem to hold a kind of authority or power. She dislikes those who seem more brawn than brain, and envies the peoplewho have such an easy time with people.

Emmeline has her smart side, too. Resourceful and quick, she remembers things easily, although it might take her some time to notice and figure out more obscure things. She’s decent at arguing, and can think on her feet. Emmeline has a quick temper, but forgives quickly. She’s still a sympathetic child, and tries to refrain from insulting or hurting others. Even when she’s angry at another, she avoids doing things that she knows she’ll regret later.
