Well here it goes!

Not really much in my life worth writing down.My life is so boring and I am so boring! I could cry sad.gif

I've decided that i really have to lose some weight but it is becoming a losing battle.I need to workout more but i don't have the energy for it.I think it's the depression of such a boring life that makes me just want to curl up and hide from my life.
I want to exercise but really don't know how often would be enough or too little.I don't want to set myself up for another diappointment.Any advice about exercise would be appreciated.

Why not get up half hour earlier each morning and do a little exercise, buy a little trampet to use in the house. Take a short walk building up each day so that your out for an hour or so.

This will lose your boredom as you will meet people and have a chat and life won't seem quite so bad. Good Luck

I couldn't possibly get up any earlier.I get up between 5-5:30a.m to get hubby out the door for work and then i lay down until it's time to get my daughter ready for school.
I don't live in civilization,i live in the boondocks.I could walk for an hour and still wouldn't see anyone.I don't drive yet but plan to go get my license sometime. It's just so isolated here and very boring.

I have to ask-what is a trampet?

A trampet is a small tramaline which you use indoors, I have to exercise for the Lymphoedema and they told me to get one.

They are not expensive and you can walk on them (on the spot) for exercise whilst watching the Telly or even jump.

I love mine I use it quite often, at first I got tired very quickly but now I can walk away without thinking about it.

Our Granddaughter loves it too, we fight for it ha ha.

Anyway its just a thought - I am so please I don't live out in the sticks I don't go out much unless I am with my husband or daughter at the moment but if I wanted to I could and meet lots of people.

Do firms over there employ home workers if so you could find some employment and earn money as well as relieve the boredom. I unsed to pack nails, screws, handles etc when our kids were little when they were at school or in bed. It was up to you how much you did but the more you did the bigger the pay packet.

There are lots of jobs i could do but not much good to me until i get my license.

I didn't know you could walk on a small trampaline.I just might look into getting one. Then me and my daughter will probably fight over it.

when I say walk it is on the spot, you move your legs as if walking and I find it quite good.

Don't know if this will work but...http://shopping.kelkoo.co.uk/ss-trampolines-mini-trampet.html there are several to chose from oh here but you will have shops etc over there that sell them.

When I worked from home the company delivered and picked up the goods to & from me so I did not need to go out even. They brought my wage packet at the end of the week too.

exercise hmmm......Your eating is the firs thing to change. Like the well knowns like No white bread, soft drinks, actually I only drink milk and water. No other liquids. But thats me. But again no white rice, eat brown rice. But what people do wrong is starve themselves. Think about animals in the wild. When there is no food they store fat. Well you wanna eat 5 meals a day. And be sensible when you eat. Like 3 normal meals breakfast lunch dinner...get ur veggies fruits and a meat. Chicken or turkey is good. Grilled obviously. And then inbetween breakfast and lunch and again between lunch and dinner eat a small snack. Like a fruit and yogurt. Treat your metabolism like a muscle the more HEALTHY activity you get it the stronger it will become. And as for the exercise walking and swimming are excellent but if those arent options an eliptical machine is an excellent investment. We have 2 of them in our home gym and I wouldnt trade em for anything!

I recently joined WW just to get a jump start - they have a program called the 'Kick Start' - when I have a minute I can post some info if anyone is interested. They suggest 6 small meals a day - breakfast, lunch and dinner and 3 snacks - one between breakfast and lunch, one between lunch and dinner and one in the evening.

Sounds like you're heading in the right direction Marylou (have to remember there are 2 Mary's here LOL!) If you want a 'buddy' I'll buddy up with you - I could use one too!
