17. Gandalf Farewells Theodred:
B-3 Théoden King: 5:15 – 6:10 (The Fallen)
OST-6, The King of the Golden Hall, 2:58 - 3:45

The AS-TTT does not include the source text, The Fallen, at all. The text is from the official online content connected with the movie/soundtrack... so I'm feeling pretty confident that the text itself is accurate. I used it to determine lyrics for the OST and felt pretty confident that I had it right. At that time, however, I had a question mark on the last few syllables. As I listen today, I think I have them. This is what I have:

Our original notes indicated singing from 5:15 - 6:10 but I can't hear singing until 5:19.

[05:19] Of
[05:23] cil
[05:25]de
[05:26] tó
[05:28] menn
[05:32] Ðæt
[05:36] hé
[05:38] his
[05:40] déað
[05:44] ge-
[05:46] sé
[05:48] o.
[05:52] Ðæt ? (this is hard to hear but I think it's there)
[05:58] hear
[06:00] de
[06:04] sóð

so... any opinions?

I agree

re: 5:52
I don't hear 'Ðæt'. I think it's a drawn out 'o', but I'm not sure unsure.gif

I think you could be right. It would make sense to leave it out and just say, 'hard death'. I'm going to declare these lyrics

addendum: the syllable is Ðæt.
