I told Cooper and my dad & step-mom two different stories. I told my husband that I was going to visit my family in Paris, but then I told Olivia that I was going there for a nurses’ conference. But really, it was an opportunity to seek solace for a few days while Cooper and I figured out where we stood in our marriage. I stayed in my hotel room when I wasn’t at the conference or visiting my family – keeping my word on that. I’d been watching a romantic comedy while working on some stuff for the kids when I went home when the knock came. I quickly put aside the stuff I was working on and got up to answer the door. “Alexander,” I said breathlessly when I found him on the other side. “What brings you to Paris?”

The shocked look on Serena's face caused him to grin at her. He propped against the door frame, looking at her. "I'm here on business actually. What about you?" He looked her over a little and she looked good like she always did. "Sorry to intrude on you like this. I heard the desk clerk say your name and I thought you and Coop were here together and figured I'd stop by and say hello. Since I was here too."

The shocked look on my face caused him to grin at me. He propped against the door frame, looking at me. “I'm here on business actually. What about you?” He looked me over a little and I know he thought I looked good like I always did. “Sorry to intrude on you like this. I heard the desk clerk say your name and I thought you and Coop were here together and figured I'd stop by and say hello. Since I was here too.”

I laughed softly. “Actually, I’m here for a medical/nurses’ conference and to visit my dad and step-mom, who moved here at the beginning of the year to get away from all the chaos that is Port Charles,” I replied.

"Oh. I see." Alex said after learning that she was in Paris alone but because of work and family related stuff. He nodded his head. "How is Coop doing anyway? He must be a little better for you to be able to go to this conference?"

“Oh. I see,” Alex said after learning that I was in Paris alone but because of work and family-related stuff. He nodded his head. “How is Cooper doing anyway? He must be a little better for you to be able to go this conference?”

I shook my head with a smile. “Actually, he only knows that I’m here visiting my family,” I replied. “Why don’t you come in and I’ll order us some dinner?”

Alex was a little surprised by her offer considering she was the one that said that they should keep their distance from each other after what had happened between them. So at the offer, Alex hesitated for several moments. He tried of thinking of a good reason why he shouldn't but nothing came to mind as quickly as he had hoped it would. Instead, he nodded his head yes to her. "Are you sure I won't be disturbing you or anything if I do?" He asked her politely.

I turned to go back into the suite, knowing that Alexander was a little surprised by my offer considering I was the one who said that we should keep our distance from each other after what had happened between us. I felt his deep breath and I knew he was hesitating for several moments. He probably tried thinking of a good reason why he shouldn’t but nothing probably came to mind as quickly as he had hoped it would. Instead I turned to look at him over my shoulder while I picked up the papers I’d had scattered on the bed in time to see him nodding his head yes to my question. “Are you sure I won’t be disturbing you or anything if I do?” he asked me politely.

“I’m always okay with you coming by. I know I said that we shouldn’t see each other, but this is Paris. Cooper can’t control who I see or who I don’t see,” I said as I moved back over and pulled him inside and closed the door behind him.

Alex nodded as she pulled him into the room and closed the door behind them. "You are right but....with everything going on and what happened with us, ......" Alex wasn't sure how to finish that statement so he left it open for her to finish to see what she might say.

Moving over to him, I stood up on my tiptoes and gave him a soft kiss. I’d been prepared to pull back when I felt his rough, callused hand close around my arm and haul me back to him. I trembled a bit upon seeing the dark, stormy look in his eyes as he lowered his head to let his lips travel the length of my jaw and downward, to my neck and collarbone.

Alexander had no clue why they were so attracted to one another. Especially when she was actually family by marriage to his own nephew. It was confusing and even though he had tried staying away from her, things just seemed to draw them back together. Why was that? Well he wasn't going to ponder it at the moment. Instead he allowed one of his hands to trail up her arm and into her hair. He tightened a handful in his hand but wasn't trying to hurt her as he kissed her passionately.

It was hard to figure out what attracted me to him in the first place, especially when I was actually family by marriage to his own nephew. Backing us up, I pulled him with me onto the bed. “Make love to me and don’t hold back,” I whispered.

Alex just looked at her silently for several moments as they landed on the bed by her own doing. He looked over her face, gauging her expression. He wanted to ask her something but the need to be with her won out over all other form of thoughts and so he ended up giving her her request.

Softly his fingers caressed ever so slowly over my clothed body, and I shuddered visibly underneath his gaze, feeling in complete control of my body.

Alex's hands wandered down the the hem of her shirt. His fingers grazed against the skin underneath for several moments before guiding her shirt off of her body. He looked down at her bringing his mouth down to her own to kiss her passionately.

His caresses were tender but they held an aggression to them, and although they should have frightened me, they didn’t, for some reason or another. I pulled him closer, my hands exploring the width of his shoulders, which were hiding beneath the material of his shirt.
