I’d been so wrapped up in taking pictures that I almost didn’t hear Lucky pull up to where we had agreed to meet. The kids were off at a basketball tournament with some friends from school, so it was just my husband and me for the weekend. I jumped when I felt his hands on my shoulders. “Hey you,” I said turning around and kissing him softly but quickly.

I laughed softly. “Of course I am. But first, you need to put this on,” I said, pulling the blindfold out of my jeans pocket.

“Um sure,” Lucky said as I give him the blindfold then he puts it on. “Okay, what’s next?”

“I have a surprise for you waiting inside, that’s why you’re wearing the blindfold,” I told him. I took his hand and helped him inside then stopped in the doorway. Slowly, I removed the blindfold. “Ta-da…what do you think?”
