Anastasia went to Manhattan with her parents and siblings, so I stayed behind to work on wedding stuff and to spend time with my cousins and their families. Now I sat on the couch while Mom and Dad went out to lunch with Uncle Luke and Aunt Laura. I looked up when there was a knock on the door. I put aside the book of stuff for the wedding and got up to answer the door. “B.J.?” I asked quietly, thinking I was seeing things.

I knew what everyone would be thinking the moment I showed up in Port Charles. They'd be asking themselves if they'd been seeing ghosts. Nope, they weren't. I was surprised to see Lucas so grown up because he was only a baby when Helena kidnapped me, but then again so much time has passed. "Hi baby brother" I say smiling a little knowing he must have thought his sight was failing him.

OOC:I had in her history that BJ has been in PC since she was 16, but I'm gonna change it and say she escaped from Helena when she was 16 and lived on her own in Charlotte North Carolina (so Helena wouldn't find her) then went to Duke University in Durham, NC for medical school. Now that she's finally done medical school she wanted to see her family again.

(*slaps forehead* I knew that! I forgot for a second there about it.)

“Hi baby brother,” she says, smiling a little.

I instantly pulled her to me for a fierce hug. “B, I’ve missed you more than you could know,” I said softly. Then I brought her inside. “What brings you by today? I’m sorry that the place is such a mess. Ana and I have been planning the wedding and it’s basically taken over both of our residences.”

I hug him back. I look in the house to notice papers and what must have been wedding prep on the coffee table. "It's good to see you. And what do you mean what brings me by?" I laugh placing my hands on both hips. "I can't come visit my favorite brother?"

She hugs me back then she probably notices the mess known as the wedding preparations on the coffee table. “It’s good to see you. And what do you mean what brings me by?” she laughs, placing both hands on her hips. “I can’t come visit my favorite brother?”

“I’m your only brother, B. And you can come visit me whenever you like. But today has just been one of those days,” I replied. “Between work and wedding plans and getting my fiancé out of jail on bail, it’s been a rough pretty couple of weeks.”

I let out a small giggle at his comment about him being my only brother. He was right of course. "Well, let me help you... with the wedding preparations, I mean. I'll help where ever I can." I tell him honesty. I couldn't believe he was actually getting married. We definitely weren't kids anymore. He had Anastasia now and as for me, I'm the lonely doctor who buries herself in her work. "I'm happy for you Lucas... you're my brother. I'm here for you whenever you need me."

As I sat down on the couch, I hear her let out a soft giggle at my comment about me being her only brother. “Well, let me help you…with the wedding preparations, I mean. I’ll help wherever I can,” she tells me honestly. It was hard to believe that my wedding was just around the corner and the impending arrival of my baby daughter or son. “I’m happy for you, Lucas…You’re my brother. I’m here for you whenever you need me.”

“Thanks, B.J. I’m only doing the wedding stuff right now while Ana is in Manhattan with her parents and I promised her I would work on it while I got some time off,” I told her. I reached over and squeezed her hand gently.

"Okay, enough wedding talk" I laugh wiping some tears from my eyes with my free hand. "I get too emotional. Especially since we're talking about YOUR wedding! My little brother isn't so little anymore... and I heard you're going to be a daddy? Seriously Lucas, you can stop growing up now."

I began to laugh. “I’m never going to stop growing up, B.J. But in all seriousness, I know I have my life together enough for Anastasia and our baby. I mean, I’m a doctor – a very successful one. You and I work together sometimes, but you work more with children and I do surgeries,” I said. I dropped her hand and ran it down my face.

"You've got your life on track. You're a damn good doctor and I know you'll be the best father. I mean look we had as a father, one of the best. You're going to be o.k. in life." I tell him. I was so proud of Lucas. He had is life on the right track and sooner or later he was going to have his own little family. Of course I was a little jealous of his happiness, but I knew I'd find someone to love someday... I just wish someday would hurry up.

“You’ve got your life on track. You’re a damn good doctor and I know you’ll be the best father. I mean look at who we had as a father…one of the best. You’re going to be okay in life,” she tells me. I know she was just as proud of me as Mom and Dad were.

“So will you, sis. You have your life on track too. Tell me, do you like working with Nadine Jacks? I hear she’s one of the best nurses we’ve had here in Port Charles in a long time,” I said, changing the subject immediately.

I move over to the couch and place some papers on the coffee table in front of me. I motion for him to come over and sit next to me. "Yeah, she seems really great. I know the patients love her..." I say realizing he had changed the subject so quickly. "...but why the subject change all of a sudden?"

(He’s already on the couch, just so you know.)

I place my hands on both sides of his face, pull him close and kiss him on the cheek. "You are the most considerate person I know." I say and laugh a little. "But anyway, where are mom & dad? Are they working?"
