Title: Hayes' Family Fun (Logan)
Georgie Hayes - April 10, 2012 09:22 PM (GMT)
I arrived home from a long day at the school where I taught to find my 12 year old daughter, 8 year old son and 3 year old twins elbow deep into their latest project. I’m sure that Logan was somewhere supervising but didn’t recognize him when he came down the stairs, covered head to toe in flour. “What happened to you?” I said as I covered my mouth with one hand and tried to contain the laughter.

Logan looks at her seeing her try to compress a laugh, which makes him shake his head and speak in a joking manner.
Logan: I am glad you find this funny.
He then extends his arms and goes to give her a hug, but she quickly dodges him not wanting to get all dirty.
Logan: Oh come on brown eyes! It's just a little flour.
He said in a bit of a chuckle, still chasing her a bit around the living room knowing sooner or later he will get that hug.

Later, I settled into his arms, sans flour. “Why were you really covered in flour earlier?” I asked softly.

Logan thinks back to helping out the kids, which brings out a slight chuckle from him.
Logan: Well I guess you could say instead of supervising the kids, I sort of joined in and made more of a mess than they did.
With work, it has been a while since he got to enjoy some time with the kids, and he got carried away with it.
Logan: But I promise everyone and everything is cleaned up. And now that they are keeping themselves company, I am all yours now that you're home.

I tilted my head back and watched as Logan thinks back to helping out the kids, which brings out a slight chuckle from him. “Well I guess you could say that instead of supervising the kids, I sort of joined in and made more of a mess than they did.” With both of us having jobs, it had been awhile since either of us got to enjoy some time with the kids, and I know he must have gotten carried away with it. “But I promise everyone and everything is cleaned up. And now that they are keeping themselves company, I am all yours now that you’re home.”
I nodded then leaned up and kissed him softly on the corner of his mouth. “I just want to sleep now that I’m home. Classes were exhausting today,” I told him.

Logan could tell she had a long day even before she said something. After today they could both use this relaxation.
Logan: I bet it was today, and it seems like the both of us had a long day, you teaching, and me drenched in flour.
He laughs a bit and does his best to soothe her hoping things in her classes get easier for her.
Logan: Just know that I love you, and I am very proud of you.

Nodding, I kissed him softly again. “I know you do. I’m proud of you for wanting to protect your family as a cop,” I replied. I heard giggling by the stairs and I looked over the couch and found Maggie with her three younger siblings. “Upstairs, all of you…Dad and I are in dire need of alone time, and you’re not helping.”
